Cub Scout Pack 192 - New Cumberland, PA

Pack 192 meets the 2nd Monday of the month at St. Theresa School in New Cumberland. Our Motto: "Adventure is Calling!"

Our pack holds outdoor activities throughout the year, monthly hikes, and participates in both day and overnight camping programs.

Scouts this week had the awesome opportunity to see behind the scenes at Capital City Airport - CXY in New Cumberland!!! We were so grateful to the staff for showing us around!

A big thanks to the folks Harrisburg International Airport (MDT) as well!

More to come - we have a busy summer planned with hikes, camps, a trip to Gettysburg & more!

This past weekend our Webelos Den (4th grade) wrapped up their year with a model rocket launch and visit to our local Naylor Observatory!

In the fall they’ll start on their Arrow of Light adventures - and preparing to bridge to Boy Scouts!

On the trail! Scouts got out this weekend for a nice 3 mile hike at Gifford Pinchot State Park, & had the chance to dip their feet in a creek. Found a couple of crayfish and a lot of smiles.

Onward to June and more summer fun!

Well, the rain and weather (thankfully) cleared out yesterday just in time for the New Cumberland Memorial Day Parade!! 🇺🇸🫡

We’re honored to once again be a part of the New Cumberland Memorial Day Parade this Monday 🫡🇺🇸

While this traditionally wraps up our school year program, our scouts will continue their adventures all summer with hiking, camping and opportunities to explore our local community!

Ahead of Memorial Day, scouts this weekend helped honor those who served by marking veterans graves at Rolling Green Cemetery with the New Cumberland VFW. Just one of several service projects our guys tackle each year. 🫡

Spring is always a busy time of year, which for scouts includes opportunities to camp & get out fishing! Whether you catch the biggest fish ever, a couple of sunnies or a string of lake w**d, Cub Scout motto is always ‘Do Your Best!’

A big THANK YOU to New Cumberland Volunteer Fire Dept. for hosting our scouts this weekend! So cool to learn about all the people and things that go into building a community!

This week was our Pack Bike Derby at Saint Theresa Parish 🚲 🚲 🚲 Thanks to our friends at PennDOT and South Central PA Highway Safety for their generous help!! The boys learned about road safety, how to fit a helmet and then took several laps on the safety course on a lovely spring evening. Fun times!

Feels like Spring may *finally* be here! Our Scouts hit the Appalachian Trail Sunday for a walk in the woods. We’re so lucky to have the AT in our backyard, and grateful as always to the families who make these trips happen!
