Trisha A. Sadler Foundation

Trisha A. Sadler Foundation Taking one incredible individual's tragedy, and turning it into a charge to help anyone in NEED! She was born in Pusan, South Korea.

Trisha Sadler was a beloved daughter, grand daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin and friend. By God's grace she joined the Sadler family at age 4, inheriting the love of her adoring parents and 3 older brothers. She grew up in both Pennsylvania and Kentucky and is dearly missed by so many family and friends. She was successfully employed at Wells Fargo in Bethlehem, PA. where her co-workers were

blessed by her outgoing personality. Her radiant spirit beamed with the hopefulness of youth, her quirky sense of humor and warm smile left a lasting impression upon everyone she met. Though her departure from this earth was untimely at age 29, we know her eternal presence is part of God's plan and we find peace in knowing that she is with Him.

🔦 We love shining a light on the people who help make our work possible! 🔦
Today’s Board Spotlight is on Matt Sadler — one of our caring leaders helping build a safer, stronger community for survivors.

As President of our Board of Directors, Matt brings both leadership and deep personal commitment to our mission. Having lost his sister to domestic violence, he has turned his grief into purpose and hope—working tirelessly to ensure others have the support and resources they need to find safety and healing.

Matt’s goal during his time on our board is to help as many people as possible escape dangerous situations and rebuild their lives with strength and dignity. His compassion and dedication guide our organization and inspire us every day.

Thank you, Matt, for your tireless dedication to our mission and for leading with such kindness, strength, and heart. 💜

As part of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency (PCCD) and the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV) brought together local DV programs and law enforcement to highlight warning signs and resources available for our community members experiencing abuse.

DVSCP's Direct Service Supervisor Stephanie Spurgeon, along with Board Member and Hampden Township Chief of Police Jason Yerg, spoke about PA's Lethality Assessment Program (LAP). The LAP requires police responding to a DV call to ask the victim screening questions to assess potential lethality. If the victim is deemed high-risk, officers may immediately connect them with a local domestic violence program like DVSP for safety planning.

Last year, of the 1,727 hotline calls DVSCP received, 111 were LAP calls which met 'high risk of death' criteria.
