Supporting Our Community, Together.

Mental health and well-being matter every day. Whether you're navigating a difficult time, supporting someone you care about, or simply looking for guidance, knowing where to turn for support can make a meaningful difference.

New Canaan has many valuable resources available to individuals and families. Remember, you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone.

Your voice matters, too! 💙💚

In 2024, 1,490 New Canaan residents participated in the Community Health & Well-being Survey, helping guide local programs and resources that support our community. Now, we have ANOTHER opportunity to share what's working, where additional support is needed, and how we can continue building a stronger, healthier, more connected New Canaan.

Please take the 2026 Community Health & Well-being Survey!
It's just 5–10 minutes
Completely anonymous

The deadline has been extended to Sunday, November 8

Attention New Canaan residents: your 5 minutes made a difference in 2024. Now let's find out what changed.

Swipe through to see what happened the last time New Canaan took the Community Health & Well-being Survey.

Two years ago, 1,490 residents answered. In response, the New Canaan Community Foundation awarded $33,275 in Survey Response Grants to six local organizations. That money funded workshops and mindfulness circles for parents, and free support groups for residents raising children while caring for aging parents. The Alliance also formed a standing work group to help residents find the help that already exists here.

One survey is a snapshot. Two let us see the trends.

Why participate?
✔️ Help show whether the work of the past two years is making a difference
✔️ Guide what New Canaan's organizations do next
✔️ We're seeking 100% participation!

Survey details:
đź“… Dates: October 1 to 31
⏱️ 5 to 10 minutes, completely anonymous
👥 Who: Residents 18+ and parents of students in New Canaan schools. Every adult in your household takes it separately.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night for Preparing for the Age of AI.  We’re grateful to Conor and Finn Grennan for sharing their perspectives on AI and family life, and to New Canaan Library for partnering with us. We hope the evening sparked conversations that continue at home!

What a wonderful evening of learning and conversation at Preparing for the Age of AI! Families came together to explore how artificial intelligence is shaping our world and what it means for parents & children. Thank you to Conor and Finn Grennan and New Canaan Library for helping us bring this timely and important discussion to our community!

Thank you to SLOBS for helping with setup and breakdown, and to Jack-Oliver Jamin for promoting safer riding through a community-focused e-bike safety initiative at the CARES table.

His website www.safe-ebike.com, features a free safety course designed to encourage responsible e-bike use on local roads. The course is especially valuable for younger riders who have not yet taken driver education classes, helping them learn the rules of the road, understand traffic safety, and develop responsible riding habits. Check it out!
