Join award-winning journalist and NPR host Steve Inskeep for a timely conversation about the role of journalism in sustaining American democracy.

Drawing on decades of reporting experience, Inskeep will explore the challenges facing journalists today, the importance of trust and credibility, and the responsibilities of the press and the public in an era of political polarization and rapid technological change.

This year’s Richard Salant Lecture is presented as part of New Canaan Library’s America 250 programming. The annual lecture series promotes news literacy and a deeper understanding of the role of a free press in a democratic society. Elm Street Books will be on site for book sales and signing.
