What a night celebrating 10 YEARS of Christine Faressa! 💛🌙⭐️

I am so incredibly proud to call Christine Faressa my friend. Long before Inclusive Together existed, Christine was creating community, supporting autism families, building connections and pushing for greater acceptance of our kids. She ignited that fire in me and is a huge part of the reason I started Inclusive Together .

Her mentorship, friendship and unwavering support have meant more to me personally and to Inclusive Together than I could ever put into words. Watching her celebrate TEN YEARS of what she has built was incredibly special.

And of course, they know how to throw an event! 😂 Everything was so thoughtful—from the seemingly endless donated raffle prizes and silent auction to the great food, music and, most importantly, the people and conversations.

I loved spending the evening with two of my autism mom heroes, Jimnahs Miller and Julie Swanson The Autism Life Skills Lady , and having some amazing new conversations and introductions, including Melissa Gagne, special ed attorney & autism mom Melissa Gagne | CT Special Education Lawyer, and Danielle Gonyea Danielle Gonyea an author, advocate, mom of three kids with autism.

Danielle said something about Christine that has stayed with me:

“She’s the reason my kids have a social life.”

That says EVERYTHING.

Because at the end of the day, that is what this work is about. Giving our kids opportunities to have friendships, experiences, community and a true sense of belonging. Giving our families a place where we don’t have to explain.

It is exactly what Christine has created for so many families over these 10 years—and exactly what I hope to continue creating through Inclusive Together.

Congratulations, Christine and the entire Sun, Moon & Stars family. 10 years of meaningful events, building community and creating connections that have truly changed lives.

Love you, Christine Faressa . So grateful for your friendship, your example and for getting to do this work alongside you. 💛

While taking care of everyone else, have you ever looked in the mirror and wondered where YOU went?

In her newest blog post, our founder, Lauren Tarzia shares an honest and deeply personal reflection about motherhood, caregiving, broken promises to herself, and the challenge of finding her way back.

Maybe we don’t find ourselves again all at once. Maybe it starts with one walk, ten quiet minutes, one healthy meal—or one small promise we actually keep. 💙

Read “Forgotten Promises: A Mid-Summer Check-In on Losing—and Finding—Myself” here:

Somewhere between caring for everyone else and trying to create the “perfect” summer, I lost sight of myself. This mid-summer check-in is an honest reflection on forgotten promises—and a reminder that it’s not too late to begin again.

❤️🤍💙 Home is where everyone belongs.

We are incredibly grateful to the New Canaan Fireworks Committee, the Town of New Canaan, and New Canaan Parks & Recreation for supporting the Sensory Care Zone and recognizing the need for this space in our community.

Together, we’re helping ensure that more individuals and families can experience one of New Canaan’s favorite traditions in a way that works for them.

We hope you’ll join us! The Sensory Care Zone will be located on the New Canaan High School Soccer Fields (Farm Road).

🎟️ Fireworks passes are required for all attendees and are now available in person only:
• Thursday & Friday: Walter Stewart’s Market
• July 4: Steve Benko Pool

✨ Once you have your event pass, you can enjoy all the festivities—including food trucks, bounce houses, and live music at Waveny Park—and then return to the Sensory Care Zone at New Canaan High School.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you. Home is more than a place—it’s a community where everyone belongs. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

Art creates opportunities for connection, confidence, and belonging. 🎨💙

This spring, Inclusive Together launched an adaptive and inclusive weekly art series for students from New Canaan Public Schools. We were proud to partner with the New Canaan Library and Art People LLC , whose team of certified art therapists and experienced instructors created a welcoming environment where every student could express themselves through art.

The series culminated in our first-ever Neurodivergent & Special Needs Student Art Exhibit, where students from New Canaan and surrounding communities proudly shared their artwork and what art means to them.

A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated teachers and staff from New Canaan Public Schools who joined us each week to support their students. Your kindness, encouragement, and commitment helped make this experience so meaningful for everyone involved.

Thanks to the generous support of the New Canaan Community Foundation and Newcomers Club of New Canaan, we're excited to continue expanding this program for even more neurodivergent students and students with disabilities in New Canaan and beyond.

✨ Want to be the first to hear about upcoming programs and events? Join our email list at www.inclusivetogether.org for early access to registration and announcements.

Because every artist deserves the opportunity to shine. 💙
