Freedom means more when everyone belongs 🇺🇸

Today we remember and honor the men & women who fought for the freedoms we cherish.

At Inclusive Together, we believe the best way to honor them is to continue to build communities where every mind matters and every person is seen, valued & included.

At Inclusive Together, we believe understanding begins when we shift the way we see behavior, parenting, and support.

In the latest post for her "Shifting Mindsets" blog series, our founder, Lauren Tarzia, M.S., CCC-SLP, shares one of her most personal stories yet: her journey parenting her son with .

Lauren writes openly about the guilt, exhaustion, advocacy, self-reflection, and transformation that happened when she stopped asking, “How do I stop this behavior?” and started asking, “What does my child need right now?”

She speaks honestly about what so many families experience in silence:
• the calls from school
• the shame and self-doubt
• the pressure to “fix” behavior
• and the realization that children don’t need punishment as much as they need understanding, regulation, connection, and support.

One of the most powerful reminders from her post:
“Your child doesn’t need to be fixed. They need to be understood.”

We encourage our community to take a moment to read and share Lauren’s latest post:

As we recognize , this year’s theme 💚 💚reminds us that meaningful support happens through compassion, community, and learning from one another.

If this story resonates with you, we hope you’ll share it to help foster greater understanding and support for neurodivergent children and their families.

This past Sunday was truly unforgettable 🤍 I had the honor of speaking at in Bridgeport, sharing my journey as a mother to an autistic boy and opening a conversation about how communities can create spaces where autism families feel safe, seen, and supported.

From the moment I walked in, I felt a warmth I can’t quite put into words—the love, the kindness, the genuine sense of belonging… it was overwhelming in the most beautiful way.

I’m so deeply grateful to Elle Williams for inviting me and trusting me with this moment. What’s even more meaningful is that this is just the beginning—we’re starting something special together, a collaboration rooted in spreading understanding, compassion, and awareness around autism.

Thank you, Elle, and your sweet son, for your hearts. And thank you to everyone at Triumphant for embracing us so fully. God bless you all—I truly can’t wait to come back 🤍
