Christ calls you on a mission, and that mission is for you to win as many souls to and for Christ as possible!

And Senior Pastor Cliffe Knechtle links this to a why. Why do this? Well, because Christ makes it abundantly clear that one of the two greatest commandments is to love your neighbor as yourself. To be like the Good Samaritan and help your enemy, regardless of social, racial, or religious issues.

The only way to do this, is if God grants you His spiritual vision. Everyone says they have spiritual vision, and yet there is a $236 billion-a-year forced-labor industry in the world today, with 27.6 million people trapped in forced labor, including 6.3 million victims of forced commercial sexual exploitation, and 22 million people trapped in forced marriages.

Oh, but I thought slavery was a thing of the past. No! Yet we say we have spiritual vision, and yet you are blind to that reality.

No, no, no! We have a long way to go! And what Cliffe is pointing out is that we’ve all to some extent have settled for a vision that is so much lower than what God has called us to. His spiritual vision is transformative and world-changing, and He wants His people to pray for eyes to see and ears to hear, so that they can transform this world and make it more like Christ’s Kingdom!

Pumpkin carving at our High School Launch was so much fun! From funny faces to creative designs, each pumpkin seemed to capture a little piece of your kids’ personalities. 😂🎃

And of course, there’s always room for the Gospel! As you look at the first image, remember that in a world full of creepy creatures, fools, and goblins, Christ’s love and salvific work sits at the center. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus!

“Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4:4) 🙏🏽

Senior Pastor Cliffe Knechtle shares a powerful moment from being in the hospital with a family and witnessing their loved one face death with unwavering faith in Christ and His eternal promises.

Although Cliffe didn’t know where the other family members stood in their faith, he witnessed something profound. The fascinating way they, even himself, we’re confronted with a reality that goes beyond rationalization alone.

There is a hope and peace that cannot be reduced to an intellectual argument or fully explained by human understanding.

“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7)

There is a light that shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it (John 1:5)!

When you truly know God, even in the face of death, suffering, and uncertainty, you have a hope this world cannot take away.

When your hope is in Christ, nothing can separate you from His love. Nothing can take away the eternal promise you have in Him! (Romans 8:38–39)

Our Second Her Exchange Was a Hit!

The ladies learned about the history of crocheting, its benefits for brain health and self-esteem, and how to get started! They went through all the different stitches, they had so much fun learning, creating, and connecting.

But Her Exchange is about more than a craft. It’s about building meaningful relationships between women across generations.

A long one, but an important one!

Continuing our previous post, how do we avoid rationalism, alone, or what Senior Pastor Cliffe Knechtle calls “intellectual bigotry”?

One way is to recognize that science isn’t the only path to knowledge.

Pastor Cliffe shares the story of a father whose son studied the evidence for Christ’s birth, life, death, and resurrection, yet refused to believe, convinced science would one day explain it all.

The issue wasn’t necessarily the evidence, but the assumption that no explanation beyond science could be accepted.

We see a similar pattern with the Pharisees, who attributed Jesus’ miracles to Beelzebul rather than acknowledging God’s work (Matthew 12:22–32).

When we decide beforehand what truth can look like, we risk rationalizing away the evidence itself. When we reduce all knowledge to one method, we risk becoming intellectual bigots, dismissing truth simply because it doesn’t fit our framework.

And ultimately, we may reject the very truth that points us to Christ, whom is The Truth!

So, the question is, are we genuinely seeking truth, wherever the evidence leads, or only accepting what fits inside our intellectual box?

Senior Pastor Cliffe Knechtle uses the story in Matthew to make a powerful point: we all want to see God! But there seems to be an unexplainable, invisible wall between trust and distrust, and rationalism alone can sometimes be at the heart of it.

We want to fit our faith into an intellectual box, but the Christian life calls us to balance both rationalism and empiricism: the pursuit of truth through our minds and through lived experience.

When we rely on rationalism alone, we risk creating a god who looks a lot like us, shaped by our own assumptions rather than the truth of who God is.

So how do we move beyond endless rationalizing? Through faith, trust, and obedience. Not blind faith, but faith grounded in walking with Christ and putting His words into practice.

Consider the rich young ruler (Matthew 19:16–22). He encountered Jesus, yet when asked to sell his possessions and follow Him, he walked away sorrowful. He could understand Jesus’ words, but he wasn’t willing to surrender everything to follow Him.

Sometimes, the barrier isn’t what we know about God, but whether we’re willing to trust Him with what we know.

This has to be one of our favorite sermons, “Spiritual Vision.”

Senior Pastor Cliffe Knechtle takes us through a powerful reminder that, as believers, we all desire to see God. And Scripture promises that one day, we will behold His glory, and it will be truly transformative!

Revelation 22:4 tells us, “They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.” What a glorious promise to look forward to!

But what does spiritual vision look like in our walk with Christ here on Earth? While it can be a gift to some in the body, spiritual vision really has less to do with our physical eyes and endless rationalization and more to do with the posture of our heart and asking the right questions!

Jesus tells Thomas, “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” (John 20:29). Isn’t that interesting? Faith calls us to see beyond what is immediately before us and trust in the One whom our eyes cannot yet behold.

So, how do we move beyond merely physical sight and develop a spiritual vision that transforms the way we live, believe, and walk in Christ? How does God change the way we see the world as He continues His work of sanctification in us? It starts with asking the right questions and those answers will lead to a sight that beyond the physical!
