Confidence Club is in full swing at Grace Academy, and we love seeing these girls learning, connecting, and having fun together! 💚

Through hands-on activities and honest conversations, Confidence Club gives girls a space to express themselves, build friendships, discover their strengths, and grow more confident in who they are.

A little creativity, a lot of personality, and plenty of room to just be themselves. Just the way it should be!

A front-row seat to the world of broadcast journalism!

Yesterday, our SHE WORKS participants went behind the scenes at WABC-TV Studios at The Walt Disney Company Headquarters in New York City, where they experienced the energy of a live ABC7 Eyewitness News broadcast and connected with news anchor Sade Baderinwa.

From seeing how a newsroom operates to meeting the professionals who bring the news to life, this Career Discovery experience offered a firsthand look at the people, skills, and opportunities behind the camera.

“I used to think my voice was too small to matter. Then I realized that speaking up can help someone else find their courage, too.” 💚

At just 11 years old, Siona Barua is already using her voice to make a difference.

At our Day of the Girl Walk this past Friday, Siona spoke about being herself, finding courage, and supporting other girls.

On International Day of the Girl, a day to recognize girls’ rights, celebrate their achievements, and raise awareness of the challenges they face, we’re proud to share Siona’s words and celebrate the power of girlhood.

This is who She Is Rising is for. 💚

Pictured here with our founder are some of the young women who make up the LiveGirl community.

As Sheri shared that night, talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. Our work is about changing that, making sure more girls and young women have access to the mentors, networks, experiences, and opportunities that can open doors.

Seeing them together that evening was a reminder of what all of this is really about. Not just one event or one night, but what becomes possible when young women know there is a community behind them.

We’re so excited to share a glimpse of Beyond the Business: LiveGirl, an Emmy-nominated short documentary from Connecticut Public and MediaVision Creative.

This clip features Heylin Lopez, one of four young women whose stories are featured in the film, each at a different stage of her LiveGirl journey.

The film captures what we are here to do: help young women build confidence, access opportunity, and feel more prepared to step into college, careers, and leadership.

Still thinking about yesterday’s conversation with our Founder & CEO Sheri West and LiveGirl Advisory Council member Fran Hauser at New Canaan Library. 💚

From perfectionism and people pleasing to the reminder that not everything deserves your A game, the conversation was all about being more intentional about where we give our time and energy.

Fran’s new book, Twenty Minutes Is the New Hour, is such a timely read for ambitious women trying to make more room for what matters.

We’re grateful to Fran for sharing her wisdom with our community and to New Canaan Library for bringing us together.

What does it mean to be a changemaker? For Claire O’Hare, it started with a simple feeling that she should do more.

That feeling became the LiveGirl Shine On Giving Circle, bringing together a group of young women to create opportunities for other girls and young women. What Claire set in motion has grown into something much bigger, reaching scholarship recipients, the women doing the giving, and even her own family.

On October 1, we’ll honor Claire with the Changemaker Award at LiveGirl’s She Is Rising.
