Some people leave Habitat... but they never really leave. 😂❤️

We may not get to see Buna every day anymore, but that didn't stop us from bringing him along for today's adventures around the ReStore! 📸

From the warehouse to the sales floor, "Buna" was everywhere and our team had way too much fun with it. We miss having him around, but we're so excited to see him doing great things in his new chapter.

Once you're part of the Habitat family, you're always part of the family. Wishing you nothing but the best, Buna! We'll keep your "presence" around just a little longer. 😉🏡💚

✨ Christmas in July is almost here!

Behind every item on our sales floor is an opportunity to help a local family build strength, stability, and self-reliance through affordable homeownership.

Whether you're a donor, volunteer, community partner, or shopper, you're part of the story. We invite you to celebrate with us and help make a difference this Christmas in July. 🎄❤️🏠

☀️🎅 Santa called... he said he can't wait until December! 🎄

We're bringing the magic of Christmas to the middle of summer with holiday décor, festive finds, and plenty of cheer at The Habitat ReStore.

Whether you're looking to get a head start on decorating or just love a good holiday treasure, you won't want to miss this event!

❤️ Mission Moment

At first glance, this is a house.

But to the family who calls it home, it's so much more.

It's the front door they'll walk through after a long day. It's where children will do homework at the kitchen table, where birthdays will be celebrated, and where memories will be made for years to come.

A safe, affordable home provides something every family deserves, a place to feel secure, to grow, and to dream about the future.

Because of the support of our volunteers, donors, partners, and shoppers, a local Craven County family now has a place to call home.

And that's what Habitat is all about. ❤️

🎨 All hands on deck today!

A few of our Habitat team members stepped out of their usual roles today and onto the construction site to help move our newest Habitat home one step closer to completion. With Robert, Construction Site Manager, leading the way and sharing some painting tips and tricks, Darrin, Hope, and Laila got hands-on experience while helping create a safe, affordable home for a local family.

We're having a little fun, learning new skills, and working together to help ensure our future homeowner is settling into their new home this summer! 💙🖌

Did you know that the New Bern Area Chamber of Commerce offers workshops and seminars to help local professionals grow and succeed?🧐

Yesterday, Habitat for Humanity of Craven County team members, Johanna Schaefer, Resource Development Manager, Hope Garza, Community Engagement Coordinator, and Tracey Lilly, Executive Director, attended Customer Success Stories: Transform Your Prospects into Clients Faster Than You Thought Possible Workshop and walked away with valuable insights and practical strategies that will help us better engage with our community, volunteers, donors, and supporters.

A big thank you to Ed McDonough of ECE Marketing Services for sharing your expertise and providing such an informative and engaging presentation. We appreciate the tips, real-world examples, and knowledge you shared with attendees.

We're also grateful to the New Bern Area Chamber of Commerce for continuing to provide opportunities like these that help strengthen our local nonprofit and business community through education, networking, and professional development.

🤠✨️ What a fantastic evening at Coastal Women's Forum "Cowgirl Chic" Hat Social!

As the Coastal Women’s Forum's charity of choice this past year, Habitat for Humanity of Craven County was honored to be selected and supported by such an incredible organization. We are grateful for their partnership and the meaningful connections that have grown through it.

We were proud to have 10 Habitat members attend this fun evening, including our Community Engagement Coordinator, Hope Garza, who is a proud member of the Coastal Women’s Forum.

Thank you for your support and for helping us build stronger communities together!❤️

Today, members of the Habitat for Humanity of Craven County team had the opportunity to participate in the Built to Last - Nonprofit Professional Development Day, a day dedicated to learning, networking, and connecting with fellow nonprofit organizations across our community.

From insightful presentations to meaningful conversations, the event provided valuable knowledge, fresh ideas, and a chance to strengthen relationships with others working to make a difference in Craven County.

We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate, learn, and grow alongside so many organizations committed to serving our community.

🏡❤️ Together, we can accomplish more when we share resources, knowledge, and a common purpose.

We are grateful to recognize Linda Ray Postle, a dedicated volunteer who has been a valued part of the Habitat ReStore family for quite some time. Her commitment and willingness to serve week after week helps make a difference in our ReStore and our community.

When asked what she loves most about the ReStore, she shared that she enjoys the incredible variety of items available to shop for and there's always something new to discover!

Thank you Linda, for your time, dedication, and the positive impact you make. We appreciate all that you do! ❤️
