Our page was started just to serve our church and their Operation Christmas Child shoebox ministry. It has grown as people all around the world have joined and share their ideas, shopping finds and stories! We all love this ministry and the Lord and enjoy seeing what we can do to bless children all over the world. Besides sharing ideas for our Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes, we try and educat
e people about the ministry and the guidelines for packing shoeboxes. The more people are educated about how to pack a shoebox, the more great shoeboxes will get donated. If you don't like hearing about new better ways to pack shoeboxes this page might not be for you. I never mean to offend anyone but I am going to share the do's and don'ts for packing. Here are the basic steps for packing a shoebox according to ministry guidelines:
1. Get an empty MEDIUM sized shoebox
2. Attach the appropriate boy/girl label, marking if your gift is for a boy or a girl. Select an age category 2-4, 5-9 or 10-14 and attach the label to the top of your shoebox.
3. FILL with Gifts---Select a quality “wow” toy such as a doll, soccer ball with pump, or stuffed animal. Then add other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies.
4. Most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your gift. You can also include a personal note and photo.
5. Donate $9 online and receive a tracking label to Follow Your Box and discover the destination of your shoebox gift or you can include the $9 shipping inside. For more information you can email me (Stephanie) at [email protected]
