🍓🥬 This week’s HIP Delivery bags featuring fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables!

Through the HIP Delivery Program we reach hundreds of SNAP customers each month who otherwise can’t access their HIP benefits due to transportation and/or mobility challenges - we bring fresh produce directly to them!

📈Earlier this year, the updated their annual Food Access report and found that food insecurity rates across the Commonwealth have DOUBLED since the pandemic.

😔40% of households in the state (and 44% of Bristol County households) do not have enough money to purchase enough food each month to feed their families.

🫐🥕At Coastal Foodshed, we focus on increasing access to the HIP Program for SNAP households in Bristol and Plymouth counties so our food insecure neighbors can at least access additional fruits and vegetables each month - although we know this still is not enough.
