Brethren, We Need Your Helping Hands! 🤝

One of our Master Mason Brothers could use a little assistance, and this is a wonderful opportunity to put our Masonic principles of Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth into action!

This Saturday, October 31st, at 9:00 a.m., we are asking available Brothers to lend a hand loading and unloading boxes for a move from Henryville to Sellersburg, Indiana.

No special skills are needed—just a willingness to help a Brother in need! And yes, we'll provide donuts! 🍩☕

Please see the attached poster for details or contact Brother Todd Smith at 812-620-5270 to volunteer.

Freemasonry is more than the lessons we learn in the Lodge; it is about putting those lessons into practice through service to one another.

Many hands make light work, and together we can make a meaningful difference!

Brethren, we are reminders to one another that the gavel of authority is given to rule with regularity, not to dominate the wills of our peers. True Masonic leadership does not flow downward from a seat of power; it arises from within, forged in the quiet chamber of a man’s own conscience.
The Masonic Reflection Point is established as a vital sanctuary for this difficult self-examination—a place to lay aside the title, the apron of office, and the illusion of control to look honestly into the mirror of the soul. As builders, we know that a brother who seeks to command others before he has mastered his own passions builds on a foundation of sand, ever shifting and never sustaining. When we rely on dominance, force of will, or the weight of position to lead, we do not inspire; we fracture the mystic tie that binds us.
This Reflection Point calls us to apply the Square of virtue to our own motives. We must ask ourselves with absolute humility: Are we ruling with the gentle firmness of a Master, or are we driving the craft through the ego of a tyrant? How does our tone, posture, and exercise of authority truly influence the peace and harmony of the brethren around us? Let this be a space where we remember that the most powerful man is not he who subdues others, but he who subdues himself. All meaningful influence begins with self-governance.
By doing the quiet, humbling work of internal transformation here, we strip away the desire for dominance and return to our columns ready to lead through example, serve with a true brotherly heart, and uphold the harmony that is the chief support of our society.

What if improving your life began with just four simple things you could do every day?

The greatest changes in our lives often begin not with grand gestures, but with small, intentional choices repeated each day.

In this brief video, an Illustrious Brother from the Scottish Rite, Southern Jurisdiction, shares four daily practices that challenge us to live with greater purpose, gratitude, discipline, and service to others.

Four simple practices. Every day. A message worth hearing—and putting into action.
