🕰️ We’re very excited to hear our beautiful Town Clock Church bells ringing for the community again!

The bells will ring again! The repair of the clock is scheduled for July 30th and 31st. The mechanisms have been shipped and are at Second Baptist Church. The clock mechanism and installation by Verden company is $30,000. Electrical installation is $17,000.

We are grateful to our donors so far: the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana for $10,000 and the City of New Albany for $15,000. We will need to use $22,000. If you care to contribute to the cost of this repair, contact Jerry Finn at 502-645-2332 or go to our web site townclockchurch.org.

You still have time to join us for a tour today!

Celebrate Juneteenth with a tour of the historic Underground Railroad Town Clock Church on Saturday, June 13th, 10AM-3PM. Then join Second Baptist congregation for a Juneteenth Musical Celebration, Friday June 19, 2026, 6:30p.m.
Artists include Troy Bell and Company, Poet Sidnea Hearn, and other musicians. Second Baptist church, 300 E. Main Street in New Albany. Free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated.

Tours of the historic Underground Railroad Town Clock Church will be this Saturday, June 13th, beginning at 10 AM with the last tour starting at 3:00 PM. These tours are part of our Juneteenth celebration at Second Baptist Church at 300 East Main St. in New Albany. Come join us to hear the story of the Underground Railroad as a congregation that defied the Fugitive Slave act of 1850 to help those escaping slavery through our metro area. Tours are free and open to the public. Donations are welcome to help us with our handicap accessibility grant fundraising match from Indiana Landmarks.
