🎉 Fusion Fest returned for year two in Downtown Nevada!

👏 A BIG THANK YOU to the Cottey College Athletics! 👏

Yesterday, Cottey College students were out all across Vernon County giving their time and energy to our community, and we want to take a moment to recognize their hard work!

Here in our Main Street District, students once again tackled w**d control throughout downtown. 🌿 We greatly appreciate the extra hands and the work they put into helping our downtown look its best!

Their impact stretched far beyond downtown. Cottey students volunteered throughout Vernon County at parks, farms, fields, cemeteries, the animal shelter, churches, senior centers, and more. That is a whole lot of community service in one day!

Their work downtown also gives us a good opportunity for a quick reminder to our downtown property owners: keeping w**ds cleared from the sidewalks and areas surrounding your building is the responsibility of the property/business owner. Keeping up with these small things makes a BIG difference when we all work together to keep our downtown clean, welcoming, and beautiful.
