VFW Banner Mountain Post 2655 - Nevada City, CA Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2655 was chartered on 20 August 1932 and has been in continuous good standing with the national VFW ever since.

For decades, the members of Post 2655 have been serving the community and veterans of western Nevada County.

Join us for an afternoon of great food, craft beer, friends, and community spirit while helping support veterans in our area. A percentage of all proceeds from the event will be donated directly to Nevada County Veterans Services to assist local veterans and their families.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ“œ April 19, 1775 โ€” Battles of Lexington and Concord

On April 19, 1775, armed conflict broke out between colonial militia and British forces in the towns of Lexington and Concord, Massachusetts. British troops had been dispatched from Boston to seize military supplies stored by colonial forces.

The first engagement occurred on Lexington Green, followed by continued fighting at Concordโ€™s North Bridge and along the route back to Boston. These events marked the beginning of the American Revolutionary War.
