Dolly Parton's Imagination Library Nevada County Update: The 2026 Book List was just released!

Each year, the Dollywood Foundation enlists the help of their Blue Ribbon Book Selection Committee which is comprised of early childhood professionals who lend their expertise in choosing the perfect set of age-appropriate books for hundreds of thousands of children across the USA.

These books will be mailed to all enrolled children in Nevada County between the ages of 0-5, completely free to the families! If you have a child in that age range and they aren't signed up yet, click the link to get them enrolled and start building your child's home library. As Dolly herself says, "You can never get enough books into the hands of enough children."

We're incredibly proud to announce that as of today, we have 899 children enrolled in Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Over 2,000 books have already been mailed out and the feedback we get from families who are already receiving their monthly books is truly heartwarming. We are delighted to be in partnership with the Dollywood Foundation and our other local Rotary Clubs to make this program happen for the children ages 0-5 in Nevada County.

Will you join us in giving the gift of reading this holiday season? As you consider your year-end giving, please remember it costs only $15.50 to provide a child with free books for a year. Your contributions will help keep this wonderful program sustainable for years to come.
