Children’s development is shaped by a range of influences from their developmental environment. This includes access to stable housing, a clean water supply, safe green space, and more. These conditions can affect children’s health and well-being in the moment — and throughout their lives.

A new era of policy and program solutions must extend beyond traditional “children’s issues” to include a wide range of policy domains that shape developmental environments. Together, we can work toward a world where every child grows up in a developmental environment where they have what they need to thrive.
