16 hours ago.volunteer 5 days a week at the CHANT Food Pantry of Neptune. CHANT stands for Conquer Hunger and Needy Together. CHANT is a Non-Profit 501c3 Tax Deductible Organization.

But where is the "TOGETHER" in CHANT'S efforts to issue EMERGENCY FOODS FOR ALL?

The majarity of CHANT clients come from other cities in Monmouth and Ocean Counties, like Asbury Park, Bradley, Beach, Avon, Springlake, Belmar, ...Deal, Oakhurst, Long Branch, Eatontown, Lakewood, Howell, Jackson, etc .

As a result, CHANT Feeds 950 plus Adults and Children a month.

Seniors, Sigles Parents, Veterans, Disabled, Unemployed, Under Paid Workers, and the Homeless all come to CHANT for a monthly alotment of much needed nutrious foods.

But not only is CHANTstruggling to feed these communities, CHANT NEEDS MONEY to Pay the $1,000 monthly Rent to keep the doors open. And CHANT's Overhead includes Utilities, Insurances, BOTH VAN AND BUSINESS INSURANCES, Gas for Van, Office Supplies, Phone, Fax, Advertizig Budget, etc.

Can you Help CHANT Feed Your Communities?

Will you Help CHANT with the CHANT WISH LIST?

CHANT Needs a Bigger Building. But will be happy if someone from the community would Design and Redecorate the 500 foot CHANT Space to include a Thrift Shop and Cooking Classes to generate much needed dollars.

CHANT Needs a GRANT WRITER to locate and apply for GRANTS based on what CHANThas done and Will do once these classes start. GRANTS are awarded for CLASSES, not just Food Pantries.

CHANT Needs Board Members to do FUND RAISERS, And contact local Businesses to support CHANT, etc. Meetings are held once a month. Dues are $110 a year or $10 a month.

For the past 16 years, CHANThas been on the forefront of Community Grass Root efforts to Feed the Hungery, both the NEEDY and the GREEDY.

As a result, CHANT has been recognized by various community groups for Humanitarian and Entrepuerial efforts as well as awarding Annie Hainesworth, Founder ad Director of CHANT as Business Woman of the Year by local area Negro Business Women.

The New Jersey Natural Gas Company recently awarded CHANT a CargoVan to pick up foods from TRADER JOE'S and the FOOD BANK. ShopRite recently awarded a GRANT to CHANT to purchase Turkey's from the Food Bank for CHANT's Anual Turkey Basket Give Aways.

Other programs CHANT offers to the community are: Toys for Tots, Senior Farmers Market Vouchers, Emergency Food and Disaster Relief, Job Training for 55 plus and National Council on Aging, Referrals from and to Social Service Agencies, Faith Based Organizations, City Welfare, and Court Ordered Community Service programs.

These are but a few of the Annual $250 thousand dollar IN-KIND Budget Services CHANT is fortunately Blessed with.

BUT, There is NO MONEY to Pay the $1,000 monthly Rent plus Overhead.
