The Pause to Thrive team was honored to attend the New Jersey National Guard Yellow Ribbon Event on Saturday, March 21, supporting soldiers preparing for deployment and their families. We had the privilege of speaking with Governor Mikie Sherrill, who was personable, engaged, and generous with her time to the soldiers and their families. Governor Sherrill is the Commander-in-Chief of the Army National Guard in New Jersey. As the ‘Guard’s" leader, It was Inspiring to see her and all those who attended the event give their time to support these brave men and women.

On Sunday, April 26, the Pause to Thrive team spent the day at the NJ Army National Guard Training Center in Sea Girt, continuing a meaningful partnership that began in January 2025. Each month, the team meets with soldiers to share practical guidance and insight focused on strengthening physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, working closely alongside the Army National Guard Behavioral Health Unit.

This month’s session was led by Maria, who facilitated a follow-up survey to better understand the most pressing needs of the soldiers we serve. The feedback continues to shape and refine our approach. Maureen followed with a thoughtful presentation on the power of hope, exploring how it supports resilience and contributes to a healthier, more fulfilling life.

We’ll return in May to focus on sleep hygiene—an area that continues to surface as the most significant challenge for many soldiers. Strengthening sleep habits is a critical step toward improving overall health and readiness, and we’re looking forward to continuing the conversation.

🌊❄️ Pause to Thrive was proud to support the Sons of Ireland Polar Bear Plunge! ❄️🌊

Held annually on New Year’s Day, this incredible charity event brought courage, community, and heart to the shore even after a fresh dusting of snow on Thursday! Brave participants took the plunge into the Atlantic Ocean at Asbury Park, all for a great cause.

The Sons of Ireland Polar Bear Plunge returned to the shore at the historic Berkeley Hotel, blending live music, stirring bagpipes, salty sea air, and meaningful charity into an unforgettable celebration.
Thank you to the founder of the Sons of Ireland Sean Clifford for this amazing event!
