Located on 98 acres in Nebraska City, Nebraska, we strive to grow the best fruits and vegetables in the Missouri River valley. Ever since Richard and Laurine Kimmel planted their first apple and cherry trees in 1925, they created a destination dedicated to agricultural education, research and historic preservation. Now owned by the Kimmel Orchard Educational Foundation, our orchard is a fun, educa

Operated by the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Food Science Club, the Dairy Store gives students hands-on experience while helping prepare the next generation of food science professionals. Every purchase supports opportunities for students to connect with industry leaders, participate in product development, and build the skills they'll use to help feed the world.

Say hello to Len, President of the Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard Educational Foundation, the organization that owns and operates Kimmel Orchard & Vineyard. Len provides strategic leadership for the foundation, guiding its vision while helping preserve Kimmel's mission of education, historic preservation, and community engagement.

His favorite memory?
"Watching all three of my boys volunteer at the Orchard during our annual AppleJack Festival. They started when they were little, hauling apples from the cooler, and they still volunteer today. It has been a joy to watch them grow into young men while developing their own deep love and respect for the Orchard."
