We are grateful for the generations of leadership that have shaped our nation and for the men and women who continue to serve with honor today.

Today, on Presidents Day, we pause to honor the leaders who have guided our nation and the enduring spirit of service that strengthens America.

Leadership is rooted in courage, responsibility, and sacrifice — values we also see reflected every day in our service members, veterans, and the military families who stand behind them. Their dedication reminds us that service to country comes in many forms, both in uniform and at home.

As Blue Star Mothers, we are grateful for the generations of leadership that have shaped our nation and for the men and women who continue to serve with honor today.

We proudly recognize the commitment, sacrifice, and spirit of service that unite us all. 🇺🇸

Blue Star Mothers Day - February 1st 🇺🇸

Today, we honor the heart of Blue Star Mothers of America — the mothers, families, and supporters who stand behind our nation’s service members and veterans with unwavering love and commitment.

Blue Star Mothers of America Inc is built on compassion, understanding, and a shared bond that only military families truly know. It’s found in quiet support, handwritten notes, community service, advocacy, and simply showing up for one another when it matters most.

From chapters across the country to the mothers who first wore the Blue Star with pride, today we celebrate the strength, resilience, and dedication that define who we are. This is more than an organization — it’s a family united by service, sacrifice, and heart.

Thank you to every Blue Star Mother, Associate, and supporter who continues to carry this mission forward. Today, we honor *you*. 💙

The Blue Star Mothers NE #1 will be hosting an open sew day to the community. We gather and share stories of Veterans and those currently serving. We have light food for the tummy. We will have all kinds of different areas that you can help or do things at. We have a couple of quick kits that a top can be made in these two days. You don't have to come the whole time, even if for a few hours, Please join us.

*** Most of the items made will help with the America250 celebration at the Veterans Memorial Building this summer***
***Sorry for the very ruff draft of a flyer***

💙 Standing Together for Our Blue Star Sisters and Our Heroes 💙

Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of two Iowa National Guard Soldiers who were killed in a recent attack overseas. Sgt. Edgar Brian Torres-Tovar and Sgt. William Nathaniel Howard are being remembered as dedicated Soldiers who gave their lives in service to our nation. We keep their families, fellow service members, and all who loved them in our prayers.

As Blue Star Mothers, what impacts one of us impacts us all. In moments like this, we come together—not just in grief, but in action and love.

The Blue Star Mothers of Iowa are asking for our help. With months still remaining in this deployment, morale among our deployed troops is hurting. They are asking Blue Star Mothers chapters and the public to help flood our deployed Soldiers with cards and letters of encouragement, love, and support. A simple card can be a powerful reminder that they are not forgotten and that a grateful nation stands behind them.

📬 How You Can Help:
Please consider sending cards or letters of positivity to be shared with Iowa’s deployed service members:

Blue Star Mothers of Iowa
PO Box 751
Johnston, IA 50131

Cards will be collected and sent weekly during January and February. There is no obligation—just heartfelt words of support from across the country, showing unity and compassion.

May God bring comfort and peace to the families of these Fallen Heroes.
Say their names. Honor their service. Never forget. 🇺🇸

We had the honor of helping the Blue Star Mothers of America - Iowa Chapter , çreate and send 3015 care packages to local troops. What an amazing and inspirational group of women. Thank You to Ship Thrifty also for making sure they get to where they need to go. We were only able to send them a monetary donation but every little bit counts. Those Iowa Blue Stars only thought 2500 boxes, so excited to see they knocked it out of the park. You Chicks Rock!!
