BOOK BESTIE DAY!

Here's how it went:
1) Book Besties started their day welcoming Northsiders as they arrived at school.
2) Over 430 students at NCECBVI, Head Start, LCC and NCPS took home a new book today!
3) There were stories about Pumpkins, Kindness, Fall and a Little Red Hen.

What Happens Next?
1) Ask your child about their new book and the story they heard today!
2) Read with you child tonight!
3) Grab a past Book Bestie book and read it!
4) Make it a goal to read 20 minutes with your child everyday!

BOOK WAGON DAY!
Once a quarter the Hayward Elementary School 4th grade classrooms have a visit from the EDGE "Nebraska Book Wagon" and EDGE Volunteers. This is an extension of our Super Citizen Program and is a highlight each quarter.

Fourth graders were able to "shop" for a book that has Nebraska elements (Nebraska author, setting or facts). Super Citizens are curious citizens, always learning more!
