Community Rowing of San Diego Community Rowing of San Diego is a non-profit, volunteer run organization committed to expanding access to the sport of rowing in the greater San Diego area.

We offer Learn to Row classes, youth programs, Veterans programs, and kayak rentals. Come enjoy the beauty, peace and nature of the San Diego Bay, Sweetwater Channel, and Sweetwater Marsh with us while engaging 86% of your muscles in the low impact, high calorie burn sport of rowing. Our USRowing certified, volunteer coaches work with rowers of all ability levels, mobility levels, and ages. Whethe

r you've never rowed before, have a child who is interested in trying a unique aquatic sport, or are a masters rower looking for a smaller club, come row with us! Not ready to try rowing? Rent one of our kayaks and enjoy a tour through the Sweetwater Marsh and San Diego Bay, home to hundreds of species of birds and aquatic animals, including fiddler crabs, osprey, dolphins, and endangered sea turtles.

Hey CRSD Community, Happy June! 🌞 We’re just a few days away from beginning another annual summer break youth aquatics camp and we want as many of you as possible to join us this summer 2026. We’re offering 40% off of our camp registration costs during the first week of camp, from June 8th-12th. Participants learn to row, paddle and kayak from Monday through Friday, 8am-12pm (half day) or 8am-4pm (full day), with lunch provided :)

Our Summer Aquatics camp is here and this time with a few new additions! This year we are offering camp for a full day / 8am-4pm or half day / 8am-12pm with snacks and lunch provided. Camp begins Monday, June 8th and continues until July 31st.

we’ve had a jam packed spring so far, from crew classic to Saturdays at the boathouse, community events, fundraising and now preparing for what’s to come! does it ever end?!!! Hahaha. They say time flies when you’re doing what you love and I think it’s safe to say we love the sport, because where has the time gone! It is a special challenge because every meter clocked on each machine will equal $1 for CRSD. As a nonprofit community organization, we appreciate when we can receive community support while providing a fun and welcoming space for rowing and moving your body! We hope to see you there 🫡😉❤️

“Trust the process…it’s a matter of consistency”, we’ve heard it many times before but it’s a peice of advise that Chris Bak has found to be one of the keys to success as mentioned on THE JOURNEY TO LA.
