Last week, our Director of External Relations, Miguel Angel Segura, participated in GPSN's LA Believes event with numerous community organizations, education advocates, and leaders from Los Angeles.

The event also provided an opportunity to hear from Los Angeles Unified School District's new Superintendent, Dr. Andres Chait, and to learn more about his vision for supporting students, families, and schools throughout Los Angeles.

PIQE remains committed to collaborating with partners and community leaders to ensure that families have access to the resources, information, and opportunities necessary to support their children’s educational success.

Cada padre tiene la oportunidad de hacer una diferencia en la educación de sus hijos. Muchas veces, el primer paso es conocer las opciones y recursos que tienen a su alcance.

Para Irina Aylyarova, PIQE le ayudó a reconocer el papel tan importante que tienen las familias en el éxito educativo de sus hijos. A través del programa, aprendió más sobre cómo funcionan las escuelas, las diferentes maneras en que los padres pueden involucrarse y cómo acompañar mejor a sus hijos en su camino educativo.

Every parent has the power to make a difference in their child’s education. Sometimes, the first step is simply understanding the opportunities available. For Irina Aylyarova, PIQE helped her recognize the important role families play in supporting student success. Through the program, she learned more about how schools operate, how parents can become involved, and how to better support her children throughout their educational journey.
