Recently, ECS teamed up with Sharp HealthCare to offer health screenings and physicals for our Early Childhood Education staff at the Family Engagement Center.

Recently, our Family Engagement team attended the Conscious Discipline Elevate Conference in Orlando, where ECS was recognized for implementing the Conscious Discipline Framework. We were especially proud to see Family and Community Engagement Specialist Jose Daniel Armendariz share how the parent curriculum is helping families build stronger relationships.

A special highlight was receiving recognition from Dr. Debra Bergon for our commitment to parent education and meeting Dr. Becky Bailey, founder of Conscious Discipline.

Nicolle, Program Data Quality Specialist for Head Start, has been with ECS for almost two years. As a Head Start alum, she is passionate about giving back and supporting teachers & students through her work in digital infrastructure.

As we celebrate Head Start Awareness Month, advocacy remains an important part of building a stronger future for children and families. Amid ongoing discussions about proposed changes to Head Start standards, ECS leadership met with the offices of Congressman Juan Vargas and Senator Alex Padilla during the National Head Start Association's Fall Leadership Institute in Washington, D.C., to discuss the importance of investing in early childhood education.

By sharing the experiences and needs of the families we serve, these conversations help advance opportunities for children to learn, grow, and thrive.
