It is with a heavy heart we say goodbye to one of our own Theresa 'Terrie' Wagner. I hope I can do this justice as she was a wonderful person and a good friend to me.
Terrie graduated in 1984 with a degree in physical education. She played trombone in the The Golden Band From Tigerland. Often times at watch parties I would see her playing along to fight songs. She taught in Davidson County Schools for most of her career. She was a supporter of the arts, minority owned small businesses/causes and LGBQT+ rights. If someone was in need she would be one of the first to step up. She moved to Murfreesboro in 2020 where she met her two beloved cats Curry and Lexi. She had just become a great aunt and would light up everytime she got new pictures of the baby. She loved and spoke highly of her family, especially her neices and nephews.
She was a diehard LSU fan. She joined our LSUMusicCity about seven years ago. The amount of LSU Sports knowledge she had was crazy. About three years ago I asked her to help me run the FB page. She engaged with many of you and posted great articles and fun facts about LSU. She also kept me organized when juggling to dos with running our events.
I admired her determination and strength over the past few months and years as she fought through so many health battles to be able to attend LSU Football, LSU Women's Basketball and LSU Basketball games with me. The amount of strength it took for her to go down all those steps at Vandy in January to take pictures with LSU Women’s Basketball was so inspiring. I hope they understood how much it meant to her.
We will honor her life at our first watch party of the season on Sept 5th. More details to come.
Terrie you will be greatly missed. I’m grateful to you for your friendship, dedication to LSUMusicCity and all things LSU. You are forever in our hearts and will always be part of the LSUMusicCity Family.
