Explore the work of Rebecca Tolley, a featured artist in Craft Continuum.

Rebecca’s connection to quilting spans generations. She sleeps beneath quilts made by her grandmother and great-grandmother, carrying their artistry and family stories into the present. After beginning with traditional techniques, Rebecca found her own creative voice in improvisational quilting, working intuitively with fabric, color and form.

The Tennessee Justice Center wants to hear from artists, musicians, and others in Tennessee’s creative community about their experiences accessing affordable, high-quality healthcare.

Your story could become part of a video project showing how recent changes to Medicaid and Marketplace subsidies are affecting Tennessee’s creative workforce. By speaking up, you can help others understand why access to healthcare matters to the artists who enrich, inspire, and strengthen our communities.

Discover the work of Amanda N. Ewing, one of the talented artists featured in Craft Continuum.

An instrument maker, cultural preservationist and researcher, Amanda is one of the few Black women luthiers practicing today. Her instruments do more than create sound they tell stories of history, memory and identity while honoring the overlooked legacy of Black craftspeople.

Our Artist Spotlight features a Tennessee Craft member you should know.

Meet Don Reed of Crab Orchard Pottery in Crab Orchard, Tennessee. Don's ceramic vessels are inspired by the natural world, where form, texture, and color come together to create sculptural works that feel both timeless and organic.

As each piece takes shape, texture becomes an essential part of the vessel itself. After high-firing his work in wood kilns, Don often incorporates natural elements such as driftwood, cane, and reed, transforming many of his ceramics into striking mixed-media works that celebrate the beauty of nature.
