It was a full day in the field. Green Interchange and Recycle Reinvest kicked things off with an outing on the river, trading the usual workday for time on the water and fresh air. Later, both teams linked up in Napier to tend the flower beds and pull weeds—and while they were at it, harvested a haul of tomatoes, jalapeños, and bell peppers from the gardens the Soil Soldiers have been growing there!

Equal parts hard work and good company, and a reminder that some of the best days on the job don't feel like work at all.
