💙 Edwina’s Story: From Surviving to Thriving 💙

At Tennessee Resettlement Aid, we believe that sometimes the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference. Edwina’s story is a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do. Through determination, hard work, and the support of a caring community, Edwina is building a bright future for herself. We are incredibly proud to celebrate her achievement of receiving a FULL RIDE to college! 🎓❤️ Her journey reminds us that our mission goes beyond providing immediate necessities. It’s about creating opportunities, offering encouragement, and helping our neighbors go from surviving to thriving. To everyone who has donated, volunteered, or supported TRA in any way, YOU are part of stories like Edwina’s. Thank you for helping us make a lasting difference, one neighbor at a time. We can’t wait to see all that Edwina accomplishes next. Future CPA, here she comes! 🎓✨

To our incredible volunteers—thank you. ❤️

Your time, energy, compassion, and willingness to show up make so much of what we do at Tennessee Resettlement Aid possible. Whether you are sorting donations, packing supplies, helping with deliveries, supporting events, or simply lending a hand where it is needed most, your impact reaches far beyond the task in front of you.

Because of you, families in our community receive not only practical support, but also the reminder that they are welcomed, valued, and not alone.

We are deeply grateful for every hour you give and every act of kindness you share.

Together, we are helping our neighbors go from surviving to thriving.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Rutherford County Democrats Care for their incredibly generous contribution of backpacks and school supplies to Tennessee Resettlement Aid! 🎒✏️📚

Because of their support—and the generosity of every person who donated supplies, gave financially, sorted, packed, and volunteered—TRA was able to help families make sure their children were prepared and confident for the first day of school.

It truly takes a community to make this kind of impact. We are so grateful to everyone who helped us put backpacks on shoulders, supplies in students’ hands, and smiles on faces as a new school year began. ❤️

Thank you for helping our neighbors go from surviving to thriving.

📚 We’ve extended our School Supply Drive—but time is still running out!

To give our community one more opportunity to help, we’ve extended our donation deadline. However, our August 8th delivery is just around the corner, and we have only a limited amount of time left to collect supplies for the children we serve.

Tennessee Resettlement Aid is preparing backpacks for 300 refugee and newcomer children, and we still need your help to ensure every child starts the school year with the supplies they need to succeed.

🎒 You can help by:
• Sponsoring a child or family *link in bio
• Donating items from our current needs list
• Shipping supplies directly to us
• Dropping off donations with Kiki before our August 8th delivery

Every notebook, backpack, box of crayons, and pencil donated helps a child walk into their classroom feeling prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

Thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of these students. Together, we’re helping our neighbors go from surviving to thriving. ❤️💙

Every child deserves to walk into school feeling prepared, confident, and ready to belong. 🎒✏️

This year, Tennessee Resettlement Aid is working to equip 300 refugee and newcomer children across Middle Tennessee with backpacks and school supplies for the first day of school.

For many families rebuilding their lives after fleeing hardship, the cost of school supplies can be overwhelming. A simple backpack filled with the right tools can help a child feel included, supported, and ready to learn.

Your gift makes an immediate impact:

$50 provides one child with a new backpack and school supplies
$150 equips a family of three children
$200 equips a family of four children

Together, we can help children begin the school year with dignity, confidence, and hope.
