Aerial Recovery is a veteran-led, Nashville-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to SAVE LIVES & STOP EVIL through the Heal the Heroes Initiative, Man-Made & Natural Disaster Relief, and Anti-Human Trafficking.

823 patients, 3 days, 1,418 treatments and needs we can actually do something about.

That number says a lot about how great the need is in Canoa.

Some of the conditions our teams treated have incredibly simple solutions. Parasites were common, and in some cases, the medication needed to treat them costs as little as 40 cents.

But when access to even basic healthcare is limited, small problems can become major burdens for families already facing difficult circumstances.

This is why healthcare is part of the bigger picture of human trafficking prevention. Strengthening a community means making sure people have access to the resources, care, and support that make them less vulnerable to exploitation.

Nothing but love attached. ❤️

Five days a week, 400 children in Canoa are fed at Aerial Recovery’s safe haven.

A meal should never come with expectations. Help should never be used as leverage. And a child’s basic needs should never become an opportunity for someone to exploit them.

This food hall is about more than feeding children today, it’s about helping build a life where they can hope in tomorrow.

The best rescue is the one that never had to happen.

This is what long-term human trafficking prevention looks like: strengthening families, meeting practical needs, expanding access to healthcare, and creating a stable community where children are supported and protected.

4 years after helping bring the p*dophile network to justice, we are back in Canoa, Ecuador, working alongside the local Aerial Recovery staff who serve this community every single day. Together, Aerial Recovery, , and Winners Travel Foundation are providing general health, dental, gynecological and therapist clinics while continuing to support the safe haven.

What began as a disaster response in Venezuela 🇻🇪 is becoming something much bigger in Colombia. 🇨🇴

Aerial Recovery CEO and Co-Founder Jeremy Locke is departing Medellín after another important step toward building a long-term presence and capability in the country.

This week, Aerial Recovery signed an MOU with President Linda Daniela Izarra of Foundation CARKS, establishing the groundwork for working together to serve communities across Colombia and Venezuela now and in the future.

We are also beginning the process of developing Aerial Recovery Colombia, building on what we have seen work through Aerial Recovery Ecuador: empowering local leaders, veterans and first responders with the relationships, training and resources to respond when their own communities need them most.

And while those relationships are being built, the work on the ground continues.

Members of our team are currently in Buenaventura, working alongside another incredible organization and local partners to support communities affected by the earthquake.

These photos represent two very different sides of the same mission.

One is sitting at a table, building relationships and putting partnerships on paper.

The other is standing in the rubble, putting those relationships into action.

Both matter.

Our goal isn’t simply to fly into a country when disaster strikes and then leave.

It’s to use Jeremy's tested model he learned in the Army as a Green Beret, which is to work by with and through local populations to help build sustainable local long lasting capacity and impact. This is done by connecting veterans, first responders, government, nonprofits and communities so that when the next crisis comes, capable people are already there and ready to respond.

Colombia has welcomed our team with extraordinary warmth, trust and a willingness to work together. We are incredibly grateful and we’re just getting started. 🇨🇴

🇨🇴 Our mission in Colombia continues to evolve.

Aerial Recovery CEO and Co-Founder Jeremy Locke and Julio spent time in Miami organizing donations generously collected by Clara and her friends in South Beach, a reminder that being a Force for Good has no borders.

During that time, Jeremy also met with supporters to discuss additional resources for Aerial Recovery's ongoing operations in Colombia while beginning preliminary conversations about establishing Aerial Recovery Colombia.

We have seen firsthand the value of building local, veteran-led capacity through Aerial Recovery Ecuador, supporting our ongoing work in Venezuela and standing alongside our teams and partners in Colombia. We believe there is an opportunity to build something equally impactful with Colombian veterans.

Search and rescue operations continue, and Aerial Recovery remains committed to supporting those efforts wherever our capabilities are needed. As the response progresses, another critical part of our mission remains safeguarding.

In the aftermath of disasters, displacement and disruption can increase vulnerabilities, particularly for children and other at-risk individuals. Our team continues working with the appropriate Colombian authorities and trusted partners to identify areas where displaced populations are gathering while expanding safeguarding education designed to help communities recognize and prevent exploitation and human trafficking.

Disaster response doesn't end when the search ends.

It's about searching, rescuing, protecting, and helping communities become stronger for what comes next.

🇻🇪 VENEZUELA | OPERATIONAL UPDATE

For 47 days and counting, Aerial Recovery personnel have continued operating across earthquake-affected communities in Venezuela.

What began as search and recovery evolved into humanitarian support and protection as the needs on the ground changed.

CURRENT DOCUMENTED IMPACT:

• 16+ search/recovery assists and recoveries
• 45 missing-person and safeguarding cases tracked
• 12,000 liters of potable water coordinated
• 340 meal-support units
• 9+ anti-human-trafficking and child-protection engagements
• Hundreds of displaced families assessed and supported
• Temporary schools, shelters, and medically vulnerable individuals supported

And the mission continues.

When families lose their homes and children are displaced, normal systems of protection can disappear. Families separate, children become difficult to account for, and vulnerability increases.

Our teams identified trafficking and exploitation concerns, responded to a reported attempted child abduction, tracked missing and endangered individuals, and worked in shelters and communities to teach children, parents, and community leaders how to recognize and prevent exploitation.

We created AERIALITO, “Little Aerial,” using puppetry and child-friendly programming to teach children about unsafe situations without adding more fear to lives already affected by trauma.

Our humanitarian work also continued through water, food, medical coordination, shelter support, community assessments, child protection, and missing-person investigations.

We built relationships with local military, law enforcement, humanitarian organizations, medical providers, churches, and community leaders to help resources reach those who need them.

This is why we don’t define disaster response by how quickly we arrive. We define it by how effectively we continue serving once we get there.

Venezuela still needs help, and our mission continues.

🇨🇴 COLOMBIA | CHOCÓ FIELD OPERATIONS

20 trucks of humanitarian aid. 74 medical personnel. One of the most difficult regions in Colombia to reach.

Aerial Recovery personnel integrated with Fundación CARKS to support a major humanitarian operation into Chocó, helping transport critical aid and medical resources into communities heavily impacted by the earthquake.

Fundación CARKS specializes in delivering medical care and community health support to remote and difficult-to-access populations throughout Colombia and Venezuela.

The challenge in Chocó extends beyond earthquake damage.

The region is geographically isolated, and humanitarian access is further complicated by active armed-group presence and significant security threats. Many affected communities remain extremely difficult to reach, making coordinated logistics, trusted local partnerships, and security support essential to delivering aid. Current reporting at the time of this operation confirmed continued armed-group activity in Chocó, including a significant ELN presence.

Working alongside Fundación CARKS and security partners, Aerial Recovery helped move a 20-truck humanitarian convoy and 74 medical personnel toward communities where assistance was urgently needed.

This is why Aerial Recovery builds trusted relationships before disasters strike.

🇨🇴 COLOMBIA | GROUND OPERATIONS UPDATE

Nearly one week after the devastating 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck western Colombia, approximately 294 lives were lost, more than 4,200 people were injured, and around 320 people remained missing.

Aerial Recovery personnel continued supporting search and rescue operations on the ground under increasingly difficult conditions. Our team remained committed to the mission, working alongside local responders as families waited for answers and every possible effort was made to reach those who could still be rescued.

Operations of this magnitude require specialized search and rescue equipment, including breaching, listening, and extraction tools capable of working through extensive concrete collapse. Throughout the response, Aerial Recovery continued identifying and deploying the equipment needed to operate as effectively and safely as possible.

Aerial Recovery leadership met with the Director General's Office of the Colombian National Police in Bogotá for senior-level coordination on Search & Rescue operations, disaster response, and the continued fight against human trafficking.

Aerial Recovery CEO Jeremy Locke was joined by General Salinas, Aerial Recovery Ecuador leadership, Aerial Recovery Colombia leadership, and senior Colombian and Ecuadorian law enforcement officials.

This level of access is earned through years of trust, partnership, and operational cooperation, not established when a crisis begins.

Aerial Recovery maintains an active, year-round presence in Colombia, working alongside national law enforcement in the fight against human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and crimes against vulnerable populations. That long-standing commitment has built the trusted relationships that enable our teams to coordinate directly with national leadership during times of disaster.

During the current Colombia response, Aerial Recovery entered the country as an established partner, allowing our teams to coordinate more effectively, integrate Search & Rescue capabilities with the protection of vulnerable populations, and support communities during periods of crisis and displacement.

🇨🇴 Strengthening Partnerships in Colombia

Aerial Recovery CEO and Co-Founder Jeremy Locke and Aerial Recovery Ecuador President Fausto Salinas met at the Colombian National Police Headquarters in Bogotá with senior Colombian and Ecuadorian law enforcement and emergency response leaders.

The meeting included General Norberto Mujica, Deputy Director-Designate of the Colombian National Police; General Ricardo Alarcón, Director of Police Service; Colonel Marco Proaño, Ecuadorian Police Attaché in Colombia; Colonel R. Jairo Gordillo, Aerial Recovery Colombia Coordinator; and Lieutenant Colonel Iván Sánchez, Commander of PONALSAR Colombia.

Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in three critical areas: Search & Rescue, Human Trafficking Prevention & Safeguarding, and Mobilizing Colombian veterans to serve their communities following disasters such as the recent earthquake

Aerial Recovery was honored to receive a pledge of full support for these efforts, continuing the extraordinary welcome and spirit of cooperation our teams have experienced throughout Colombia.

From working alongside search and rescue teams in the field to developing long-term strategies that help protect vulnerable people after disasters, we believe the strongest humanitarian response comes when governments, first responders, veterans, communities, and nonprofit organizations work together.
