We’ve seen how quickly an online approach can become a threat to a child’s life outside the screen.

In 2025, NCMEC received 21.3 million CyberTipline reports of suspected child sexual exploitation. It escalated more than 53,000 reports as urgent or involving a child in imminent danger. Yet more than 10% of reports from technology companies did not contain enough information for NCMEC to determine where the offense occurred.

That should make every one of us furious. A child may need help NOW. The people positioned to respond need information they can use.

Aerial Recovery supports the bipartisan STOP CSAM Act because protecting children requires stronger reporting, accountability for platforms, and support for victims. We also want lawmakers to hear from people who work alongside authorities when online exploitation becomes a physical rescue.

They learned to breach doors, treat gunshot wounds, and hold the line when everything went sideways. Then they came home, and the world told them their mission was over.

Aerial Recovery disagrees.

Through our Heal the Heroes initiative, struggling veterans and first responders are nominated, selected, and brought into a year-long program that starts where it has to: healing. An immersive retreat. A platoon that gets it. A reason to get up in the morning again.

Then they are trained as Humanitarian Special Operators and deploy into the places most people only read about. Undercover anti-trafficking operations alongside local law enforcement. Disaster zones where help hasn’t arrived yet. Partner missions where their skills mean someone goes home alive.

Every mission should make the next one better.

At Aerial Recovery, the work does not end when a team leaves the field. After every deployment, we evaluate what happened on the ground, identify what worked, address what did not, and turn those lessons into stronger operational capability.

That process includes formal debriefs of our missions, including the Venezuela operations and the Colombia mission, helping us improve communications, logistics, training, equipment, readiness, and team integration across future missions.

OPERATION SAFE RETURN. 🇨🇴

Two women who were trafficked from Colombia to Nigeria, stripped of their documents, threatened, exploited and trapped thousands of miles from home are now safely back with their families.

That matters deeply to us.

Aerial Recovery helped coordinate the international effort to bring them home and stepped in to cover critical lodging, food and travel expenses when delays could have kept them stranded even longer.

🇺🇸 SERVICE DOESN’T END WHEN THE UNIFORM COMES OFF.

Patriot Seltzer is hosting a benefit event in support of Aerial Recovery on September 18 in South River, New Jersey, bringing together veterans, first responders, and community leaders for an evening centered around service and giving back.

The event will feature retired Navy SEAL , Aerial Recovery co-founder , and retired FDNY firefighter and 9/11 survivor .

Their stories are different, but they share a common commitment: serving others when they need it most.

Not every rescue starts with a raid.
Sometimes it starts with a conversation.

A parent learning what grooming looks like.

A teenager realizing the person messaging them online may not be who they say they are.

A family learning the warning signs of sextortion before their child becomes a victim.

That is why PREVENTION is part of the mission.

🇵🇪 Aerial Recovery was honored to be invited by Peru’s Defensoría del Pueblo to participate in its 30th Anniversary Jornada de Promoción de Derechos y Festival Cultural in Lima.

Our team spent the day face-to-face with families and community members, sharing practical information about human trafficking, grooming, sextortion, online exploitation, and the risks children are facing every day through the internet and social media.

Because our job cannot only be showing up after someone has been exploited.

We want to reach them before.

Aerial Recovery’s work in Peru stretches across the entire mission:

We support law enforcement and prosecutors working to combat human trafficking and rescue women and children from exploitation. We help survivors move toward safety and long-term recovery. And we work alongside communities so families have the knowledge to recognize danger earlier.

🚨SHARE THIS WITH A PARENT
Saturday night, 14 girls and young women were rescued from s*x trafficking and exploitation.

Three were children: 14, 14 and 15. (When the raid took place, one of the 14-year-olds was actively being raped.💔💔)

Operation Pirates of San Martin, carried out in collaboration with the Peruvian National Police, came after months of work supporting the case.

But every parent needs to understand how this started.
These girls and young women were searching for opportunity.

Traffickers found them through social media, posed as “influencers,” gained their trust, groomed them, and eventually sold them to be r*ped for profit.

No van. No stranger grabbing someone off the street.
A DM.
An opportunity.
Trust.
Secrecy.
Then control.

Teach your kids to recognize the setup before someone tries it on them.

And give them one promise they can always count on:
“No matter what you sent, said or did, call me. You will not be in trouble. I will come get you.”

Then understand something else about the work Aerial Recovery does:
The raid isn’t the whole mission. It’s one phase of it.
Our teams support the intelligence and investigative work that can take months before an operation happens, collaborate with law enforcement during intervention and rescue, and continue working afterward to identify additional traffickers, locations and victims.

Some victims aren’t on a missing-person poster. Sometimes no one is even looking for them. WE ARE.

What does it take to stop human trafficking before it starts?

In Canoa, Ecuador, Aerial Recovery is working to address the conditions that can leave children and families vulnerable to exploitation.

Our work goes beyond rescue. It includes healthcare, food, education, safety, and strengthening the community so children have a safer path toward their future.

During our August 2026 mission trip, our teams and partners served 823 patients in just three days, while continuing to invest in the long-term needs of the community.
