During this Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we gathered today for a private vigil at YWCA’s Weaver Domestic Violence Center—a quiet moment of reflection and support for the survivors currently calling our emergency shelter home. 💜

Our Sr. Vice President of Domestic Violence Services, Daffany Baker, shared words of hope, and each resident left with a rose and a poem. Beautiful flowers donated by Cul2vate helped create a peaceful space for the afternoon ceremony.

A somber morning in Nashville as our community gathered for the 22nd annual Meet Us at the Bridge—remembering the lives lost to domestic violence over the past year and honoring those who work every day to prevent violence, support survivors, and save lives.

YWCA President & CEO Sharon K. Roberson joined Shear Haven co-founder, survivor, and YWCA Board Member Susanne Shepherd Post, along with YWCA team members at the event.

On this first weekend of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we were grateful to stand alongside Mayor Freddie O’Connell and MNPD Chief John Drake and AMEND Together ambassador and past YWCA board member Rashed Fakhruddin .

YWCA Nashville is proud to be part of the Nashville Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) and this powerful annual tradition of remembrance, solidarity, and action. 💜
