Sometimes an organization's name just makes you smile. Then when you find out more about the organization you smile even more. That's how we feel about the next rescue in the spotlight, Totally Flocked Avian Rescue!
Our next Rescue Spotlight shines on Totally Flocked Avian Rescue in Florida.
When asked what their mission is Totally Flocked replied “Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and provide a safe, stable landing for parrots in transition, a place where they can decompress, be understood, and start fresh
We focus on what they need, not what is easy. That means proper diet, enrichment, structure, and time to decompress and feel safe again. We do not rush the process. We do not cut corners. And we do not place birds just to move them along. The right home matters.
Education is at the core of everything we do. Many of the issues that bring parrots into rescue are preventable. We are committed to helping people understand these complex, intelligent animals so fewer birds end up needing a second chance.
For those who can be adopted, we work to find homes where they can thrive. For those who cannot, we provide lifelong sanctuary where they are safe, respected, and cared for.
Every decision we make comes back to one thing.

Our next rescue spotlight shines on a facility full of love and care, Kiki's Legacy Parrot Foundation in North Carolina.

KiKi’s Legacy is more than a rescue. It is a sanctuary for parrots whose lives have not always been filled with kindness, understanding, or stability. We primarily focus on Macaws and Cockatoos — the loud, the loving, the broken, the misunderstood, and the forgotten. We embrace them all.

This Rescue spotlight shines on a rescue that is very well-known in the world of avian care.

The Phoenix Landing Foundation is a welfare organization dedicated to helping parrots through its adoption program because almost all birds need a succession of good homes; hosting regular seminars about parrot care to improve the quality-of-life for birds; and promoting conservation for wild parrots through its ecotours. Phoenix Landing has rehomed over 3,600 birds to date, and always has many others still waiting for its help.

Bears and parrots? You bet! Our next rescue spotlight shines on Bears, ETC in Texas.

BEARS Etc. is a Bear & Exotic Animal Rescue Sanctuary in Huntsville, TX. Birds, specifically parrots, are a part of the Etc. part of our mission! They currently house 42 small parrots from Parakeets to Quakers and an Indian Ringneck. The Parrots they house are not adoptable for one reason or another. Mostly because of medical needs. Bears, ETC provides them a PEACE of the Wild for the rest of their lives.
