Every native plant starts as a seed, gathered from 130+ species across our properties.

Thanks to support from the Nantucket Garden Club, our native plant propagation program added three new pieces of equipment: an Oregon Seed Blower, an Office Tester Clipper, and a DYBVIG Seed Cleaner!

We can now clean and store 4-6x more seed, and share island-grown plants with the community.

Our Plant Ecology team is tracking changes in Windswept's vegetation along 57 transects. By monitoring the same areas each year, we'll see how restoration efforts are shaping the landscape, supporting native species, and attracting wildlife!
