C.A.T.C.H., Community Acting Towards Childrens’ Health, Camp, the free summer day camp that has been happening at the McLaughlin Community Park, 1278 Terrace St., every summer since ‘08, will be happening again this summer.

C.A.T.C.H. Camp is for elementary aged kids.

C.A.T.C.H. Camp will be Mondays - Thursdays starting on Monday, June 29th and ending on Thursday, July 30th.

Hours are 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm.

Register your K-6th Grader here for CATCH Camp here! Summer fun begins with lunch at Bethany Church at noon, then camp at McLaughlin Park from 1:00-3:00. Games, science, music, crafts and fun field trips! Don't miss it! Camp is Monday - Thursday, from June 29th through July 30th.

Free Summer Meals Program where kids 18 and under eat free breakfast and lunch starts Monday June 8 at multiple locations, including Muskegon High School, Charles Hackley Middle School, Bunker Elementary School, Glenside Elementary - Two-Way Immersion Program, Marquette School and Oakview Elementary School.

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week.

At yesterday’s meeting, we took time to thank Officer Abel for his integrity, courtesy, and service!

Our meeting is on Monday, May 18th at 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall of Bethany Church, 1105 Terrace St.

Our representative from the City, Deborah Sweet, will have a new quarterly topic to report on. Our Community Officer, Chris Abel, will give us an update on the neighborhood. And, we’ll be sharing about topics relevant to the neighborhood.

♻️ Our 2026 Recycling Calendar is now available!

This year’s calendar includes an important update to the recycling route map. To balance route sizes and improve efficiency, Republic Services has split part of an existing area into two new sections: Area 4 and Area 5.

📍 Area 4: East side of Seaway Drive ➜ West Side of Peck Street
📍 Area 5: East of Peck Street ➜ West Side of Getty Street
📍 Area 6: East of Getty

Recycling pickup is still once per month, but if you live between Seaway and Getty, please check the updated map to confirm which area you fall into for 2026.
