EXCITING NEWS: CARE CUTS IS GROWING THROUGH PARTNERSHIP!

Our prayers have been answered! We are excited to announce our partnership with Belisimoda Academy, an Indianapolis-based apprenticeship program dedicated to developing the next generation of cosmetology and barbering professionals while serving communities in need.

Through Belisimoda Academy's Corte Solidario community service program, we are bringing together two organizations with a shared belief: Everyone deserves access to personal care, dignity, and the opportunity to feel confident in themselves.

This collaboration will help Care Cuts expand access to free grooming services by connecting our community outreach efforts with Belisimoda's supervised barbering and cosmetology apprentices.

What makes this partnership especially meaningful is that we're creating opportunities on both sides. Individuals facing barriers to basic grooming will receive services at no cost, while aspiring professionals gain valuable experience serving their communities.

Our goals are parallel. We both aim to restore dignity, build confidence, and develop future professionals by creating stronger communities through service.

We're grateful to Diana Matzinger and the Belisimoda Academy team for sharing our vision and joining us in this mission.

Together, we're building a team that reaches beyond a single haircut.

Care Cuts, Inc. is a nonprofit organization serving Muncie and the surrounding communities.

Our mission is to restore dignity and confidence by providing free haircuts and essential hygiene supplies to individuals facing financial hardship or barriers to accessing traditional barber services.

We’re currently looking to partner with local mobile barbers who would be interested in providing haircut services to individuals in need. This has potential to become a paid opportunity, and we're hoping to build lasting relationships with barbers who share our commitment to serving the community.

I’m not worthy to be here and do what I do. By the grace of God I have lived through several near death experiences in life, and somehow lived to serve another day. Now I get to spread joy, love, kindness, and a message of freedom from addiction through service to others.

So many people struggle with addiction, Mental Health, and disability, which leads to Financial, transportation, and even housing barriers. Care cuts exist to provide one small step toward restore dignity and the ability to be seen by others.

Help us achieve the goal of becoming a nationwide organization by June 2028. Even a donation of only $10 a month can help provide six haircuts to the people we serve. Let’s restore dignity across America, one haircut at a time.

Care Cuts continues to build a volunteer team to help take our mission nationwide, and we're looking for people who want to help build something from the ground up.

We’re currently looking for part-time volunteers in:

- Operations & Partnerships
- Sponsor Development
- Community/Barber Activation
- Compliance
- Communications & Impact

These roles will help build the systems, partnerships, and infrastructure behind a national Care Cuts campaign to help spread Dignity Across America: One Haircut at a Time. As funding grows, some positions may have the potential to become permanent paid roles.

Want a free haircut? Go to carecutsindiana.org and sign up. Are you a barber who wants to volunteer for this to help a neighbor? You can also sign up here. You will be issued a partner ID and can pick how many you want to volunteer for per month. You also have the chance to refer partners in your area so you can receive up to $20 per haircut as a sponsored partner!
