The Muncie Arts and Culture Council is the official "Arts Partner" for the City of Muncie. As Arts Partner, we integrate the arts into municipal initiatives that involve Economic Development and Quality of Place. As an arts alliance, we strive to build community among artists and arts organizations, and be a resource that enables professional growth and opportunity.

The arts scene in Delaware County, Indiana is one of those things that surprises people who haven't been paying attention.

Made in Muncie Pottery in downtown Muncie is where visitors can paint their own creation or sit down at the wheel and create something with their own hands. Just down the street, Gordy Fine Art & Framing Company has spent more than 30 years showcasing regional artists and doing the kind of expert restoration work that keeps meaningful pieces around for generations.

On campus, the David Owsley Museum of Art at Ball State University offers free admission to a collection spanning more than 5,000 years and every continent. Right next door, the Marilyn K. Glick Center for Glass lets you watch artists work in a live hot shop.

The 2026 Delaware County Experience Guide covers all of it.

Here is updated information from the Innovation Connector about their event postponed to next week.

We have been weather-aware of tomorrow's forecast. High, damaging winds with hail are anticipated tomorrow afternoon and evening. This is concerning because of the large tents and outdoor activities that are planned. In addition, Muncie experienced some bad weather last week (probably a tornado) that damaged and destroyed many houses and businesses in Muncie and the surrounding area. So, people are, of course, concerned.

We are postponing the event until Thursday, June 25th, 4 – 6 PM. We hope you will still be able to attend.

Please also use this time to invite friends, family, and colleagues! We hate doing this, but safety is the most important factor.
