Last Saturday, the Wings of Life Planning Committee and the Paul Michael Donahue Memorial Foundation hosted the 2nd Annual Wings of Life 5K/1 Mile Walk at Ella Harris Park in Harrison Township.
We are still processing the overwhelming level of support we had received, for the second year in a row, with hundreds of people across the tri-state area joining us for a day of hope, healing, and remembrance.
This all started a year ago with Harrison Township community members coming together with a desire to make a difference. Saturday, the Paul Michael Donahue Memorial Foundation was able to bolster that commitment by donating a $20,000 check to Clearview Regional High School and their mental health initiatives.
Thank you Harrison Township Mayor Louis Manzo for kicking off the day with a heartfelt message of hope and reminding everyone that, “you matter and this world needs you”.
Thank you Minding Your Mind speaker Collin Quinn for sharing his story of perseverance and navigating his mental health in high school and college.
Thank you Race Director Ken Culbertson for your dedication to making our 5K/1 Mile Walk a success.
And THANK YOU to the hundreds of people who participated, volunteered, and donated to the efforts on Saturday. It is because of you we are able to turn our vision into a reality.
Undoubtedly, Paulie’s message shined through all day, to “run for others” 💜🎗️
