The Rotary Club of Glassboro is proud to present the 2026 Paul Blackstock Memorial Scholarship to Glassboro High School students Nazifa Hassan, Andrew Miller, Joy Patel, and Sianna Wedderburn. We were also honored to present the 2026 David W. Young Memorial Scholarship to Dorian Kelsey. Each student was presented with a Certificate and a $1,000 Scholarship. Presenters included Toby Donoway, Rotary Club President, and Bernadette Blackstock, Committee Chair. Best wishes to all of the Scholarship recipients.

Paul Blackstock was the Charter President of the Rotary Club of Glassboro and Co-Founder of the People for People Foundation of Gloucester County. He demonstrated his commitment to the object of Rotary by demonstrating “Service above Self” through his lifelong volunteer efforts to help others and served as a role model to many.

David W. Young was the owner/operator of the David Young Realtors in Glassboro. He was an Army Veteran Officer, who served as a first Lieutenant in Germany. He was also a past president (1982-1983) of the Rotary Club of Glassboro, and always pursued avenues to pay it forward.

The Rotary Club of Glassboro meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month to plan activities to promote peace, fight disease, support education, advocate for veterans, and serve the community. If you are interested in joining us, we would love to have you.

The first annual Rotary Club of Glassboro Comedy Night was a great success. Special thanks to Larry (Host) and Lauren for helping to plan the event. Comedians Steve Hartmann, Jim Kelly, Shana Horton and Headliner Gary Sharp were great! We are grateful for all of those in attendance and for the support of the many Club Members in attendance. Well done!
