May is Wildfire Awareness Month!

Taking simple actions all throughout May can help you be more prepared for wildfires:

• Install 1/8inch metal mesh screening in attic and crawl space vents
• Move firewood to more than 30 feet away from the side of your home
• Use native fire-resistant plants in your garden

For more tips on how to prepare your home for wildfire season, contact us at skagitcd.org/wild-fire to schedule a free and non-regulatory wildfire home risk assessment!
