🌟 September Chamber Member Spotlight: Chinook Enterprises

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Chinook Enterprises and an important event they have coming up!

Join Chinook Enterprises for their Fall Open House and Fundraiser, This Old House: Make It Accessible, on September 17 from 4:00–6:00 PM.

Guests will have the opportunity to tour Chinook, meet members of their community, enjoy local refreshments and activities, and learn more about the employment and community inclusion programs making a difference throughout our region.

This special evening will also support Chinook’s campaign to renovate its restrooms and create more accessible spaces that promote dignity, independence, and inclusion for everyone who walks through its doors.

Kyle has spent the past year proving that a positive attitude and a willingness to learn can go a long way. 🎉🔧

As a Mechanic on our Production team, Kyle has been a fantastic addition to Chinook. Over the past year, he's continued to grow his skills, strengthen the team, and jump in wherever help is needed. His flexibility, eagerness to learn, and can-do attitude have made a real impact on the department.

Thank you, Kyle, for all you've accomplished in your first year. We're excited to see what the future holds and look forward to many more years with you on the team!

CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT! 💡
Allen is a bright, curious, fun-loving person with a talent for making people feel welcome. Recently, Allen was hired as a Library Assistant at the Upper Skagit Library in Concrete where he works hard to collect, scan and sort returned books. Allen also assists with other tasks that keep the Skagit Library system running smoothly, including searching shelves for books and DVDs that have been requested by other branches and making sure each one gets to the right place. Allen greets everyone warmly at work, and is well-liked and appreciated by all of his coworkers and library guests.

In his free time, Allen loves listening to music of all kinds (especially when he can turn it up loud!), exploring technology, and spending time with his family and loved ones. Allen also volunteers weekly at the Sedro-Woolley Senior Center, where he is an important and beloved part of the team. So if you're ever feeling down and need a smile to light up your day, spend a little time with Allen!

What a perfect day to celebrate the incredible people who make Chinook such a special place to work! ☀️🌭🎉

Yesterday's staff BBQ was filled with great food, friendly competition, and plenty of fun. Our board members and managers stepped behind the serving table to dish up lunch, Kona Ice kept everyone cool with delicious sno-cones, and employees enjoyed yard games, raffle prizes, and time together outside.

With beautiful weather and even better company, it was a wonderful opportunity to relax, connect, and celebrate the amazing team that makes our mission possible every day. 💙
