📣 Become a CASA Volunteer Advocate in 2026! 📣

As part of our 26 in 26 Campaign, CASA of Jefferson County is on a mission to recruit 26 new Volunteer Advocates in 2026 so that every child in foster care who needs a CASA can have one.

Right now, there are children in Jefferson County who are navigating the foster care system without the support of a dedicated advocate. You can help change that.

Our new Hybrid Volunteer Training Program makes it easier than ever to get involved! Training includes a combination of in-person instruction and guided independent learning.

🗓 In-Person Training Dates:
• Tuesday, July 14 | 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Saturday, July 18 | 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Thursday, July 23 | 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Before training begins, all prospective volunteers must complete an application, interview, and registration process.

CASA volunteers are everyday people who do extraordinary things by speaking up for children who have experienced abuse or neglect. You don't need a background in social work or law, just a heart for children and a commitment to making a difference.

Today we wrapped up the reporting process for a generous Community Grant awarded to CASA of Jefferson County by 5/3 Bank.

We are incredibly grateful for the support of community partners like 5/3 Bank who invest in local nonprofits and the children we serve. This funding helped support the day-to-day operations that make our mission possible, allowing us to continue recruiting, training, and supporting CASA volunteers who advocate for children in foster care.

Because of partnerships like this, more children have a dedicated voice looking out for their best interests and helping them navigate the challenges of the child welfare system.

Some children in foster care have moved five, six, or even seven times by the time they're teenagers. Every move means a new school, new rules, new strangers, and another goodbye. A CASA volunteer is often the one thread of consistency running through it all. That relationship, that one constant person, can be everything.

Be that person ➡️ https://www.jeffcocasa.org/

Every child deserves to be heard.

In foster care, decisions are made every day that shape a child’s future.

A CASA volunteer helps make sure those decisions include the child’s needs, their story, and their best interests.

That voice matters.
