Halloween is coming! 👻 The Mount Morris Fire/Rescue Dept. Co. Inc. will be holding its annual Halloween Party on Saturday, October 31, 2026 at 119 Main Street (Old Mount Morris Fire Hall) from 5-7:30pm. We will be set up outside in front of the old Fire hall. Treat bags will be given to Trick or Treaters by each organization and downtown business that is participating. This event is sponsored by Mount Morris Fire/Rescue Dept. Co. Inc., Mount Morris Partners for Progress, Mount Morris Rotary Club, Mount Morris Kiwanis, Mount Morris CIA, Mount Morris Ambulance and the Mount Morris Police Benevolent Association. As part of the outreach for our children, we are asking all businesses to be open and handing out treat bags. The Downtown area will include from the Fire Hall to the Mills Mansion.

Thank you in advance for your support of the Fire Department and our great community! 🎃

PARTNERS FOR PROGRESS recently received this note about their visit to Mount Morris. It's great to get such a complimentary stranger's view of our community. It's especially wonderful that it was impressive enough that she took the time to write a note after she got home. The writing is a little difficult to read but it says:

"My friend and I loved our visit to your town last week. We planned a visit to Letchworth State Park and stayed in Mount Morris.

Wandering around your downtown was wonderful! Unfortunately the stores were closed as it was late in the day but peering in the windows was fun. The baskets of flowers were beautiful and we loved the memorials to many people as well ad the banners honoring the veterans.

But the highlights was definitely the gorgeous murals! Especially the Pledge of Allegiance.

We loved our visit to your town. Barbara Haynes"
