PARTNERS FOR PROGRESS recently received this note about their visit to Mount Morris. It's great to get such a complimentary stranger's view of our community. It's especially wonderful that it was impressive enough that she took the time to write a note after she got home. The writing is a little difficult to read but it says:

"My friend and I loved our visit to your town last week. We planned a visit to Letchworth State Park and stayed in Mount Morris.

Wandering around your downtown was wonderful! Unfortunately the stores were closed as it was late in the day but peering in the windows was fun. The baskets of flowers were beautiful and we loved the memorials to many people as well ad the banners honoring the veterans.

But the highlights was definitely the gorgeous murals! Especially the Pledge of Allegiance.

We loved our visit to your town. Barbara Haynes"

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate Glory Day! It was a beautiful day in Mount Morris. Also, a huge thank you to our vendors, entertainers, food vendors, and everyone who helped us bring this day together. See you next year! 🇺🇸

Glory Day on Main Street is wrapping up - the parade starts at 6pm and goes from Hopkins Street down to Bellamy Park. Then join us in the park for live music from Blue Sky and a fireworks display by Skylighters! Fireworks start at dusk, approximately 9:30. See you there!
