SUNY Geneseo- Shakti Shakti is Geneseo’s South Asian Cultural Club! Shakti means strength in Hindi, the national language of India. We meet every Monday at 6:30 p.m.

Our weekly meetings include discussing, sharing and learning about the diverse and unique cultures of South Asia. Throughout the year, Shakti participates in many on-campus events such as Intercultural Night and Lip-sync. Shakti also puts on many events and shows such as Henna fundraisers and Carrom tournaments. Sangamam, Shakti’s biggest event of the year, is a dinner show that involves many memb

ers of Shakti, and other Geneseo students. It is a remarkable experience as we get to act, dance, cook and bond! in the College Union Fireside Lounge. We always welcome new members!
