Hello 4H families! We will be preparing individual meal kits to deliver and donate to the General Depot School Market located in SJHS. We would love to make 24 jars each (24 chicken soup/24 breakfast) with a minimum goal of 12 each. The ingredinets listed are in quanties to make 48 jars (24 of each)...

🎉 Our November Service Project is Official! 🎉

Our Club will be making dry meal kits for the General Depot School Market! ❤️

These meal kits will be distributed to families in need during Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks. We’ll be putting together two family friendly options: chicken noodle soup 🥣 and pancake mix 🥞!

If your family would like to donate ingredients or supplies, here’s what we’ll need:

🥣 Chicken Noodle Soup Kits

* Canned chicken
* Pasta noodles
* Dried celery and carrots
* Dried parsley
* Garlic powder
* Onion powder
* Oregano
* Chicken bouillon

🥞 Pancake Kits

* Flour
* Sugar
* Baking powder
* Salt
* Evaporated milk

📦 Additional Supplies

* Food-safe bags and/or jars

Every donation will help us provide families with easy meal options during the holiday breaks! Please comment or email ([email protected]) if you would like to donate an ingredient!

Please start thinking about the officer position you’d like to hold for our 2026–2027 4-H year! We’ll be electing our new officer team at our October meeting.

Officer positions include:

⭐ Assistant Reporter
⭐ NEW — Fundraising Chair!

We’re excited to add a Fundraising Chair this year! This person will help lead our fundraising efforts, come up with new ideas, and help coordinate fundraising activities for our club.

All youth members who do not hold an officer position will automatically be part of the Fundraising Committee and will work alongside the Fundraising Chair to brainstorm ideas and help put those ideas into action.

We need more ideas, more involvement, and more ex*****on when it comes to fundraising for our club, so we’re excited to see what you all come up with!

Start thinking about what position interests you and how you can help make our club even better this year! 💚

📣 Southern Shenandoah 4-H Meeting Reminder! 📣

We’ll be meeting this Sunday, October 11th at 3 PM at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church!

We have a fun and busy meeting planned! We’ll be:
🐄 Discussing service projects for our club to complete in November & December
🗳️ Electing our new officer team
🎤 Having our Show & Tell

The Show & Tell rules remain the same — be prepared to talk about anything you’d like for 1–2 minutes!

Cloverbuds will kick things off with Show & Tell while our Youth members work on electing their new officer team.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone Sunday! 💚
