WHO’S READY TO TOUR SCOTLAND?!

Just had a nice time catching up with Edinburgh-based MDSCA members Jane (from Mount Dora) & Brian Brian Collie —
To finalize details of next summer’s big trip!

We’ve got about 20 email addresses from those of you who’ve said you want more info…

The tour itself will be 10 days long, and hits some of the country’s best-loved spots, with the final 2 days spent in our beloved Sister City— at the Forres Highland Games!

This is going to be the trip of a lifetime, so make sure you get your email address to us so you can get your spot reserved right away!

Every month, we by meeting up at one of our Supporting Member Restaurants to enjoy the company of fellow Scot-o-philes while discussing MDSCA business, upcoming events, and whatever else comes up.

Here’s the scoop:
The Mount Dora Sister Cities Association is jumping in to support emptybowls_mtdora —the wonderful annual fundraiser in support of Lake Cares Food Pantry .

All we have to do right now is go paint a bowl for $7 (but watch this space, as we may be hitting you up for volunteer help later this fall too)!

Popped into a couple of our Supporting Member Businesses for some wee souvenirs to go across the pond this week.

If you need fun Mount Dora swag, we highly recommend going and saying hello to Scott down at Around Mount Dora ! They’ve got everything you can imagine and more for spoiling your penpals (or yourselves!).
