The Mount Dora Woman’s Club is proud to lead our community in supporting the General Federation of Women’s Clubs International Day of Service to end domestic and sexual violence. As part of this effort, we will host a “Fill the Trunk” Food Drive on Thursday, Aug. 27, from 10 am–12 pm at the Country Club of Mount Dora Clubhouse. All donations will benefit The Haven, a shelter serving survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We welcome contributions of non‑perishable food, gift cards, personal care items, energy‑efficient laundry detergent, children’s diapers, and tax‑deductible cash donations. What a wonderful morning of service for our GFWC Mount Dora Woman’s Club team. Together, we cooked and packaged 226 meals at Center Street Kitchen in Eustis, sharing plenty of conversation and teamwork along the way.

Center Street Kitchen is a free community food ministry operated by the First Presbyterian Church of Eustis. Every Friday, volunteers prepare and distribute hot, boxed meals to neighbors in our community who need them.

Three weeks away! Children ages 5-12 years and their grown-ups are invited to celebrate our country’s Semiquincentennial birthday at our drop-in party! Children will enjoy craft stations with three fun and age-appropriate activities. Be sure to wear red, white and blue for our family photo op! Once all three stations are completed, children will receive patriotic goodies, including a mini-American flag, glitter tattoos and more – plus red, white and blue treats and cupcakes. Come celebrate with us! No registration required. Sponsored by the GFWC Mount Dora Woman's Club.
