Several members of the Mount Dora Woman’s Club rolled up their sleeves and packed groceries at Lov Extension. Together, they prepared approximately 200 bags for delivery to homebound older adults and people with disabilities across Lake County. We hope these groceries bring comfort and disabled citizens of Lake County.

On September 26th, the GFWC International Day of Service, The Mount Dora Woman’s Club delivered 545 lbs of non perishable food, personal care items, cleaning supplies, toys, bedding, clothing, shoes, and a $420.00 donation to the Haven of Lake and Sumter County, which provides free services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Thursday, Sept. 17th, 10 am – 12 pm.
The Mount Dora Woman’s Club is proud to lead our community in supporting the General Federation of Women’s Clubs International Day of Service to end domestic and sexual violence. As part of this effort, we will host a “Fill the Trunk” Food Drive on Thursday, Sept. 17th, from 10 am–12 pm at the Country Club of Mount Dora Clubhouse Parking Lot. All donations will benefit The Haven, a shelter serving survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. We welcome contributions of non‑perishable food, gift cards, personal care items, energy‑efficient laundry detergent, children’s diapers, and tax‑deductible cash donations.
