Today the rest of the Thanksgiving dinners were delivered to deserving members of our Mt Dora community. This opportunity to visit various neighbors and residents in our city was a huge success. This time the Mount Dora Police Department - MDPD made sure members of Mount Dora F & A M - Lodge #238 .and their helpers made the deliveries via first class transportation. Thanks again to all the members, friends, and members of the community who made this possible. Here are just a few photos of today's activities. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

A HUGE thank you to the members of our Lodge, the community, and friends for helping make our Thanksgiving dinner food drive a success. Thanks also to the Mount Dora Police Department - MDPD for helping us deliver to deserving families. We raised enough money and were able to buy so many complete dinners, that we have to finish delivering the rest this Wednesday, November 24, 2025. To all,

The last few years have been taxing on Mt Dora to say the least. The recent storms did not help our poor city. Our Lodge has an opportunity to prove our commitment to the partnership we have formed with our community this holiday season.

We are asking for members to make a $25 donation to assist with purchasing Thanksgiving dinners for those who need assistance locally.

Currently Walmart has turkeys for 96 cents a pound, potatoes for 4 dollars a bag and canned veggies for 86 cents each. We could realistically buy dinner for a family of 4 for $25.

If we could get just just members to donate $25 each this mission could be a great success. We will work with Mt Dora High School and local churches to identify those in need. Please respond if you want to participate and have the money turned in no later than Thursday November 19th. We will commit to the number of donations based on responses we receive to this message.

Mount Dora F & A M - Lodge #238 would like to thank everyone who came out to the job fair and ribbon cutting ceremony tonight. We met some really good people as we continue our partnership with our community.
