🎥 Channel 13 Visits Lake Cares!

This week, Spectrum News 13 stopped by Lake Cares to highlight our Summer Children’s Feeding Program and the growing need right here in Lake County. The program is designed to help children who lose access to school meals during summer break, with a goal of providing nutritious food to more than 500 local children this summer.

The need is greater than ever, and we are committed to ensuring no child is left on our waiting list.

The Faces of Lake Cares are the staff who work behind the scenes and on the front lines—coordinating volunteers, stocking shelves, greeting neighbors, organizing donations, and making sure families are supported with dignity and respect.

What a difference a day makes! Members of the Kiwanis Club of Mount Dora came out on Saturday to do what they do best....Helping kids! Their successful food drive provided $511.00 and 785 lbs. of food, all to benefit the Lake Cares Summer Children's Feeding Program. This important program provides healthy food for kids during the summer school break. Thanks to all who worked this food drive and everyone that donated to make a difference in the life of a child. Thanks also to at Eustis Village for your amazing support.

A friendly reminder to get out tomorrow to the Eustis Village Publix Store by David Walker and support the Kiwanis Club of Mount Dora as they collect food and funds for our Summer Children's Feeding Program. Please come out to help our local kids who are at-risk of hunger. Thank you.

This Saturday on June 6th, The Kiwanis Club of Mount Dora will be hosting a food drive to benefit our Summer Children's Feeding Program at the Publix on David Walker from 10am to 4PM. Thanks to the Kiwanis Club of Mount Dora for hosting this very important event to help provide summer food for our local kids in need. Please come out and support the cause.
