📸Let's talk trail cameras!📸

Trail cameras are a useful tool for scouting, but one of our favorite things about them is getting a glimpse of what’s moving through an area. You never know what might show up, and sometimes the pictures are just as interesting as the information you’re gathering for your next hunt.

When you put out a camera, what are you looking for? Are you setting up over bait, on an active game trail, near a rub, or just trying to get an idea of what’s in the area?

We want to hear your thoughts! Do you use trail cameras as part of your scouting, or do you just enjoy seeing what’s out there?

Member spotlight!

This week we'd like to shout out Cole Turcotte!

Cole has been an ADC Florida member for many years!. She's one of our most active members, always willing to help out and represent our chapter wherever and whenever possible. Whether she's at our annual L.O.S.T weekend teaching about hunting equipment, on the water educating about duck hunting or attending one of our many events in the community as a friendly face spreading the ADC mission; she's a vital part of our ADC family and we appreciate her so much!

When she's not hanging out with ADC, she can be found somewhere in Floridas public lands, turkey or deer hunting, trapping c***s with FTA or in the duck blind with her son and husband and dog June.

Thanks for making ADC just a little more special! We ♥️ you!

Did you know FWC releases a survey each year for proposed rule changes for the following years hunting season?

It's your chance to voice your opinion on places you hunt and recreate and other changes upcoming that may affect your hunting season.

As hunters and conservationists it's our job to speak up about things we want to see, whether its about dogs, antler restrictions, access, waterfowl, safety, more hunting opportunities etc.

You just might find a proposed rule change you knew nothing about.

🐍 Learning, Conservation & Paying It Forward! 🐊

Another group of ADC Florida Chapter members headed south to learn about trapping iguanas and pythons alongside our friends at the Trapper Association (FTA)!

We’re fortunate to partner with FTA on several trips throughout the year, giving our members opportunities to learn new skills, gain hands-on experience, and connect with others who share a passion for conservation.

But here’s something you might not know: the small fee members pay to participate in these trips helps fund scholarships for FTA’s Women & Youth Trapper Training held each February in Ocala!

Last year, we were proud to fund TWO scholarships. This year, we’re excited to be funding FIVE! 🎉

That means more women and young people will have the opportunity to learn about trapping, develop valuable outdoor skills, and become part of Florida’s conservation community.

The scholarship application process opens THIS WEEK! Keep an eye on our page for details on how to apply.

A huge thank-you to our friends at the Florida Trappers Association for sharing their knowledge and helping us create opportunities that make a lasting impact! 🧡

Reduce. Reuse. Recycle—it's not just for the trash bin. As hunters, we can apply the same mindset to our harvests by using as much of the animal as possible and finding purpose for the parts we don't eat.
