We are so proud of Luke!
Luke, a DGCKid, has been named a winner of the 13th Annual Youth Leadership Award by the Governor's Council on Disability.
Luke was the first blind student at his school to enroll in an AP course and apply to the Bridge to Success Program. He completed the S.O.A.R. program through Lighthouse for the Blind - St. Louis, evaluates digital materials for textbook publishers, secures audio descriptions for community events, and tutors younger students in assistive technology. He plans to pursue certification as an Assistive Technology Instructional Specialist, so he can keep improving the lives of others with low vision.
He is also a leader in the DGCKids program, Tandem Adventurers, cycling hundreds of miles each season!
Luke, you inspire us every day. Congratulations!
