**Public Service Announcement**

As most of you know, Idlewood Park took heavy damage in last night's storm. Park District staff are working on getting everything cleaned up, but this will take some time. Please be aware that there are large, broken branches still hung up in trees throughout the park that could come down at any time. We recommend staying away from trees throughout the park until a lift can be brought in to remove the hanging branches.

Morton Pool staff did a great job late into the night last night getting the pool cleaned up and put back together. We do intend to open the Morton Pool at 1pm today for open swim pending we can get the remainder of the parking lot and areas immediately around the pool cleaned up and made safe.

Thank you for your patience as we deal with the aftermath of this strong storm.

The Morton Park District would like to extend a BIG CONGRATULATIONS to the MHS Girls Varsity Soccer Team who just won their Sectional Championship at McClallen Park against Dunlap H.S. We would like to wish them all best of luck as they take on Waterloo in their Super Sectional Matchup in Chatham tomorrow at 4:00pm.

Many, if not all, of these girls got their start playing soccer in Park District soccer programs, and are a great example to our young soccer girls in the community of what you can do with a lot of hard work and dedication to your skills.
