We are excited for the 2026 Gordon D. Honegger Morton Community Independence Day Celebration, sponsored by Creekmur Wealth Advisors This year's event will be held on Friday, July 3rd at McClallen Park. Admission to the park is FREE and there is paved sidewalk access for those who wish to walk to the event. Gates will open at 4:00 PM with fireworks beginning at Dark.
We have 250 hard-surface parking spots at McClallen Park that Morton Park District Residents can purchase for $10.00/ea. in advance beginning today on our website at: https://morton.recdesk.com/Community/Program/Detail?programId=4092
(when you register you will be required to enter the color/make/model/license plate of the vehicle you'll be driving to the event).
Without a pre-registered parking spot at McClallen Park, additional free event day parking and viewing locations will be available on a first come, first served basis at the Morton Methodist Church (420 N. Tennessee Ave.) and at Grace Church - Morton, IL (1325 E. Jefferson St.).

There will be live entertainment sponsored by the MFAA - Morton Fine Arts Association and made possible by Aupperle Construction. 7 Bridges : The Ultimate EAGLES Experience will be performing on the entertainment stage from 7pm-Dark, with the opening act of Max Struthers Music performing from 6pm-7pm.
Food vendors including the grill run by American Legion Post 318 Morton, Illinois, Uncle Bud's Apple Cider Slush, The Long Road Home, LLC, Swanee's Soft Pretzels, El Taco Rico, The Pizza Guys Woodfired, Sucré Sweets and Socials, Kona Ice, Scrolls Rolled Ice Cream, & Travlin' Tom's Coffee
The "Kid's Zone" will have FREE inflatables made possible by American Rental.
The Beer Tent operated by your VFW Post 5921, Morton, IL will be ready to serve ice cold adult beverages!
Bring your blankets and chairs and bring the whole family out to enjoy The GORDON D. HONEGGER Morton Community Independence Day Celebration!
